Thank you, Nidi for clearing it up. It's nice of you to not have felt bad about what I said. I am sorry though. I am senti always, so get angry fast, though I don't mean anything bad. Hope you understand that.

You are truly spiritual because I see you have conquered anger.

Zarna,

It is true that I firmly believe in predestined destiny, but as Anupamji said, I shouldn't keep on mentioning that here again and again. I have made it my signature, and so it will come up below each and every post of mine, so that is enough I think. :D

I think there is no problem with your written communication skill: you make your point very well in each and every post of yours. The 'problem' with you is that you don't like to get into an argument with anyone and which is why you avoid writing to me. It is good not to be of the arguing type. I compliment you on that. A person who is arguing all the time, like I am doing it, is wasting his energy uselessly, and it is complete foolishness, I feel.  , Right , Lets get on with the show ,

Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was born in Siddha Yoga ( Nithya yoga ) . ( Good natured , Interested in religious rites and successful, pure , holy like a seer . The soul aspires for purity and have a ability to control their nature .)

Ramakrishna possessed 4 first class yogas that made him what he was . The first yoga is called a Vedantavidya Yoga which occurs when Jupiter is in a Trikona or a Kendra aspecting Mercury and Saturn is in Paravatamsha (Sarvartha Chintamani 3/43). then the person is a expert in the knowledge of the science of the Absolute (Vedanta).

The second yoga that propelled Ramakrishna's spiritual drive is a Virinchi Yoga which occurs when Guru is placed in a Trine and Saturn is placed in a exaltation. The native with the Virinchi Yoga in his birth chart will be devoted to God, be very intelligent and give predominating importance to Vedas over other sacred writings. He will possess all the noble qualities of head and heart and will not deviate from the course of conduct recommended in the Vedas. His disciples themselves will be distinguished people. He will be courteous, be possessing much wealth, a wife and children; will have looks full of spiritual luster, enjoy longevity, rule over his senses; and will be respected even by the kings.

When Venus, the lord of the 9th and Mercury are placed in a exaltation , own , friendly sign in a kendra or trikona , the Yoga is termed Srinatha. The native with the Srinatha Yoga in his birth chart is resplendent, soft spoken, agreeable in speech and humorous. Sankha, Chakra etc. marks of God Narayana may be seen on his body. He is always chanting the charming verses adorning the name of Narayana with the virtuous people. He reveres the people of his own faith. He is blessed with a good wife and sons. He is loved by one and all and is most amiable. ( This yoga is blemished and does not fulfil the requisites because Shukra though exalted is not in a kendra nor Trikona . No doubt he walked the path of Tantra which is a left handed practice and not a main stream religion )

When Venus, Jupiter and Mercury are posited in an Angle, a Trine or the second house and Jupiter is in his exaltation house, his own or a friend's house and possesses strength, the Yoga formed is called a Saraswati yoga . This native with Saraswati Yoga in his birth chart is highly intelligent, good at dramatics, in prose composition, poetics etc. He is skilled in poetry, narrative description and in the exposition of the sacred lore. He is well known and reputed all over the world. He is prosperous and blessed with wife and children. He is fortunate and respected even by the best of the rulers.( here the yoga is blemished again because Guru though placed in a Trine is in his bitter enemies house . ) Ramakrishna never had children and his relationship with the wife was not conventional .

Ramakrishna's Marriage

Ramakrishna's mother and his elder brother Rameswar decided to get Ramakrishna married, thinking that marriage would be a good steadying influence upon him—by forcing him to accept responsibility and to keep his attention on normal affairs rather than being obsessed with his spiritual practices and visions. Ramakrishna reportedly mentioned that they could find the bride at the house of Ramchandra Mukherjee in Jayrambati, three miles to the north-west of Kamarpukur. The five-year-old bride, Saradamani Mukhopadhyaya (later known as Sarada Devi) was found and the marriage was duly solemnised in 1859. Ramakrishna was 23 at this point, but the age difference was typical for 19th century rural Bengal. As they grew older, Ramakrishna became a very influential figure in Sarada’s life, and she became a strong follower of his teachings. After the marriage, Sarada stayed at Jayrambati and joined Ramakrishna in Dakshineswar at the age of 18.

By the time his bride joined him, Ramakrishna had already embraced the monastic life of a sannyasi; as a result, the marriage was never consummated. As a priest Ramakrishna performed the ritual ceremony—the Shodashi Puja–where Sarada Devi was made to sit in the seat of goddess Kali, and worshiped as the Divine mother. Ramakrishna regarded Sarada as the Divine Mother in person, addressing her as the Holy Mother, and it was by this name that she was known to Ramakrishna's disciples. Sarada Devi outlived Ramakrishna by 34 years and played an important role in the nascent religious movement.

You can believe the abouve story because of Ramakrishna's Nishkapata Yoga which is extremely strong and reliable . The 4th house is occupied by a benefic planet, or planet in own sign, friendly or sign of exaltation, or 4th house being a benefic sign (Sarvartha Chintamani 4/143)
The person is pure hearted and stays away from secrecy and hypocrisy.

Another point to note . Ramakrishna had a first class pravrajya yoga because Chandra is in the navamsha of Kuja and aspected by Shani . But what makes this horoscope so special is the fact that the lord of the 12th ( Renunciation ) is exalted in the 9th house of ( Dharma ) aspected by the 2nd lord Guru ( Classical learning ) from the 5th . The 5th lord is in the lagna and the 9th lord is exalted in the 2nd . What a amazing combination to have . But note the blemish in the Navamsha . Shukra and Kuja take a beating by being debilitated in the Navamsha . This plus the fact that Guru is retrograde made him walk the left handed path . ( Note , Guru should be unblemished for pure spirituality, which is not the case here . But what exactly is pure spirituality is a matter of debate . )

The retrograde Guru in the 5th house gave Ramakrishna a unusual Guru . Guru is in the Nakshatra of Ardra whose lord is Rudra . Rahu is exalted in the 4th house . In 1861, Bhairavi Brahmani, an orange-robed, middle-aged female ascetic, appeared at Dakshineshwar. She was thoroughly conversant with the texts of Gaudiya Vaishnavism and practiced Tantra. According to the Bhairavi, Ramakrishna was experiencing phenomena that accompany mahabhava—the supreme attitude of loving devotion towards the divine –and quoting from the bhakti shastras, she said that other religious figures like Radha and Chaitanya had similar experiences.

The Bhairavi initiated Ramakrishna into Tantra. Tantrism focuses on the worship of shakti and the object of Tantric training is to transcend the barriers between the holy and unholy as a means of achieving liberation and to see all aspects of the natural world as manifestations of the divine shakti. Under her guidance, he went through a full course of sixty four major tantric sadhanas which were completed in 1863. He began with mantra rituals such as japa and purascarana and many other rituals designed to purify the mind and establish self-control. He later proceeded towards tantric sadhanas, which generally include a set of heterodox practices called vamachara (left-hand path),[ Note Atarva veda karaka Budha is in the lagna ] which utilize as a means of liberation, activities like eating of parched grain, fish and meat along with drinking of wine and sexual intercourse. According to Ramakrishna and his biographers, Ramakrishna did not directly participate in the last two of those activities, all that he needed was a suggestion of them to produce the desired result.Ramakrishna acknowledged the left-hand tantric path, though it had "undesirable features", as one of the "valid roads to God-realization he consistently cautioned his devotees and disciples against associating with it.

Ramakrishna took the attitude of a son towards the Bhairavi. The Bhairavi on the other hand looked upon Ramakrishna as an avatara, or incarnation of the divine, and was the first person to openly declare that Ramakrishna was an avatara. The Bhairavi also taught Ramakrishna the kumari-puja, a form of ritual in which the Virgin Goddess is worshiped symbolically in the form of a young girl. Under the tutelage of the Bhairavi, Ramakrishna also became an adept at Kundalini Yoga. The Bhairavi, with the yogic techniques and the tantra played an important part in the initial spiritual development of Ramakrishna

Let me tell you one peculiar character of Danishta Nakshatra . People with lagna in Danishta lack adequate sexual power ( which is excellent for renunciation :) ) . The individual born under this star seldom marries , or marriage is difficult for him , or if he gets married conjugal relations is inadequate , All other factors being equal .

What has amplifed this effect is that Kuja , the lord of the nakshatra is in the 12th house ( Bed pleasures ) Kuja aspects the 7th house from the 12th further exerting his influence on matters relating to marriage . Add the pravraja yoga and the other yogas for spirituality , and you will realise why his marriage was never consummated .

The significator of the logical and thinking mind is Budha who is in the nakshatra of Satabhisha. people in Satabisha prefer solitude are visionary and meditative and are inclined to eat little food , Many people born in this nakshatra are mystical and philosophical .

The 7th house is hammered by the 8th lord Budha 's aspect , Kuja's aspect and the aspect of the 6th lord Moon . The fact that he got married was because of the 7th lord's aspect on the 7th from the lagna , which is very good . But Kuja's aspect + the aspect of 2 dusthana lord's on the 7th house meant that Marriage would not be a happy one . The pravrajya yogas turned this unhappiness into happiness because Ramakrishna started treating her as the "divine mother " .

Hi DHV:

Thanks DHV

what you say here makes perfect sense to me. Some of the qualities which you have described are in chapter 12 of the Bhagwat Geeta titled "Bhakti Yoga". Lord Krishna states a devotee with such qualities "yo mad bhakta same priya" is very dear to him. However it is very difficult to be like that as we all have some vice or another, some element of negativity.Nobody is perfect. But we can try! You are lucky to have had such a father!

Thanks for letting me know about Chapter 12 of Gita.
I agree that it is very difficult to be like that and I accept we all have some element of negativity or the other. But my father was near perfect honestly I am saying this. He did not have weakess of any sort-money, power, ego, food, women and so on.
Anyway I lost him when I was 9 and I could not get his guidance. Anyway I would have to ackowledge I may not having even 0.000001% of his good qualities. My mother was great and innocent and always sympathetic and helpful to others but she was always sick. Anyway I dont have her great qualities either.
As u said, we can try to improve day by day. Atleast when the feeling creeps in then we are already ready for the progress.

Good day to you too Zarna ji ,

( I assume the T.O.B. is absolutly accurate . Lagna is dangeriously at 00.58 in Makara . assuming the time of Birth is correct I shall proceed , )

Note this yoga , ( Brithat jataka sloka 1 chapter 15 ) When not less than four planets (4, 5, 6 or 7 planets) occupy any one sign at the time of birth, a Pravrajya Yoga is formed . (the planetary combination indicating asceticism is to take place, as indicated by the strongest in the group in that sign. If the Pravrajya-making planets be all weak, the Pravrajya Yoga ceases. If one planet be found the strongest, the corresponding order of asceticism will be adopted; if two planets be equally strong, the two corresponding orders will be taken, one after another and so on.

other combinations ,

5th lord in the 12th
10th lord in the 12th
Lagna lord is in the 9th
9th lord in the lagna
8th lord in the lagna
12th lord in the 9th
12th lord conjoins lagna lord in the 9th
2 planetary wars between spiritually inclined planets

Very very interesting horoscope to say the least . With active support , she can get into deep spirituality and if she finds a Guru can even think of renunciation ( assuming lagna is Makara ) . What diety does she believe in ??

Zarna,

I don't have a good vocabulary either, which is why I try to express my thoughts as much as I can in my simple English. About the compliment, I think you deserve the compliment very much because if a person wants to argue, he will do it at any cost whether he has good writing skills or not, so that can never be an excuse for not arguing.

Coming to my being frank, I have always believed in being that because I feel that you may cheat anyone in the world, but you can't cheat yourself, and you can't cheat God. I am very open to myself and to God, though I am diplomatic many-a-times when it comes to interacting with others. About being frank here, I will not call it a rare quality because it is always easy to be frank with people you have not met--people whom you will most probably never meet. When it comes to people I know in real life, I am not frank at all.

It's nice to be told that I can judge a person's psychology very well. Thank you for saying that. :D I have always tried to understand life with my logical mind, and I have observed that many a times people call an incident, when he can't explain it, to be destiny, trying to mean that it's something beyond logic, when there is a logic behind that destiny always--it's just that they overlook it. We want to see miracles--that appeals us--so we never go deep to find out the logic behind that miracle. Everything happens for a reason--there is a logic behind everything. Destiny never defies logic, though that is what is popularly said, so though I am a strong believer of destiny, I also at the same time am very practical in my thinking, as in, I don't expect destiny to help me grow wings, so that I can fly to my wonderland, which is far, far away from me. This logical mind helps me understand a person's nature also, and I many-a-times make correct guesses as to a person's nature and his thinking pattern. Maybe I would have made a good psychologist because as per one of the books of astrology a Rahu-Moon combination makes one a psychologist. :D

I am glad to know that everyone will remember me whenever the quote on destiny will come up. :D It is true that my whole life revolves around this single belief of mine: that destiny is predestined.

And do promise to write your thoughts to me, when you feel like, without hesitating; because otherwise, I will feel really bad about it.

Good day to you Nidhi ji ,

Sasa yoga
The Most powerful yoga in your chart is a Sasa yoga caused by lord Shani being in a Kendra and in exaltation. (the yoga states that one born in this yoga will command good servants. Her character will be questionable. She will be a head of a village, town, or even be queen, (don’t interpret this literally; what it means is that you will be an important person, and will be a leader of a team. Remember the text was written 5000 years back and B.V. Raman has only translated it to English, olden day towns are today’s multinational companies and good servants denotes your sub ordinates) will covert others riches and will be wicked in disposition) (300 important combinations page 49 B.v.raman) He further states “You have to understand the inherent nature of shani, he is inherently cruel, mean, undignified and sinful and the result should be depicted in consistence with his characteristics.”
“Phala Deepika” states that one born with this yoga will be extolled by all, will be wicked in disposition, and will be intriguing for men. Merlyn Monroe enjoyed this yoga to the fullest, and so will you. But the planet who gave her everything eventually killed her. If only she had slowed down in life and played it cool.............
A graha like lord shani while providing immense material benefit through participation in graha yoga’s can / will simultaneously function as a terrible malefic. Understanding this paradox is one of the major hurdles that students of jyotishya must cross.

So Nidhi ji , You are on the wrong thread . Shani will never allow you to become spiritual because he is the lord of the 10th and the 11th in the 7th . There is a great greed for wealth . (Rahu in the 2nd ) Guru has gone for a toss , being in the 8th along with Ketu . well , You have a intresting life ahead . Thats all I can say for now .

Another point , please do not feel bad . Shukra and Ravi together in the 5th house , Shukra being the 7th lord , gives romance, love and lot of frivolous sex ( Good sex  because 5th lord is in the 5th ) . Where is the point of spirituality here ??

No Astroboy I stopped feeling bad a long time ago. Your analysis is as colorful as your language. I am on this thread because these are the only things I am and I have always been attracted to. What about ketu jupiter in the 8th, moon in the 9th. Missed that?:). You seem to pick up the most colorful bits and pieces. What about education? Missed that?

Dear Satabhishaji

sorry to interrupt in this
i also got a lot of that question everything attitude
however i believe, and can never say i know, because who does
that in the example Of Paramahamsa Ramakrishna he attained nirvikalpa samadhi and dropped everything in the story with him and Tota Puri.
for Maharshi Ramana, he was a "normal" boy, used to beat up other kids in his class and then he had a "death experience" at the age of 16
i would say also it may be cool to see someone like Ekhart Tolle's jaataka.

i say i think and don't know because with the lives of these masters its really hard to say, as it is as hard to know one who has lost the "i" and is among us.
I think there are a few according to legend that have self knowledge like Ashtavakta and Hastaamalaka, but then still we dont know

Born free we all are, but to know that we are, i think that may be the thing. I'm not sure. Hope i didnt interrupt.

Thank you very much for you kind & prompt response & detailed analysis of the chart.I am sure abt TOB & lagna is surely Makara.Good to know about all combination.Lucky she is!!What do you mean by wars between two spiritually inclined planets?which are they?saturn and jupiter? She deeply believes in SHiv-shakti & worshiper of lord Ganesha. But one thing I tell abt her is she always used to listen/sing dhuna, she sometimes behaves like faqir, even she used to listen some sufi(Haji ali)nam dhuna. She is strong believer of Evils vs Devils fighting on earth which is only constant whether out side the person or inside the person. But main thing i observed is in any difficult situation, she is extremely faithful on her God.She believes lord Dattatrey as her virtual guru. That's all about what I knew.
Astroboy Ji, can we see from woman's chart whether she will have such a spiritual husband or not?or at least with some traits?if it is not in astrology literature/books,hve you noticed similar things in charts. It will be your kind help if you share some experience/knowledge.

It was the fate or God who had decided that Ramakrishna, Ramana and Vivikananda and similar such people attained salvation. So whatever happens before in young age for some are like comedy scenes being attached in a movie to add the time and make it for 150 minutes or so. So I think those initial karmas are inconsequential for those souls and they were just attached for them to take to sanyasa later on. Of course for some it may be from birth. So the attachments(as above that I am talking of and not the other one) differ from person to person.
