You don't want to believe everything kapiel raaj says, he is still in learning mode and has already started writing books, so obviously you know he is going to write more books to correct what he has said in his earlier books. Currently, I think he is into Jaimini mode - fiddling around chara dasa and what nots...so don't take him very seriously, he is what I call 'commercial'.
There is nothing wrong with any system of astrology (even western astrology), each one brings their share of knowledge and experience to the masses. If you've read kapeil's books - he starts off by criticizing different forms of astrology, how much experience do you think he has in order to make such far fetched claims? The answer is absolutely nil.hiimnotcool wrote:elipsis wrote:Strength?? I don't think so. You don't say this to mean that there something wrong with Jaimini right? I take it that you mean he is constantly fluctuating between systems and finding his way with regards to vedic astrology. Just wanted to clarify.
He is very commercial. But that's what makes him appealing to westerners (which i believe is who he is catering to). All people will deviate and find their own paths based upon their karama and horoscope eventually right?

When you commercialize divine sciences you will never understand the basis of it. This is why many astrologers in India fall short of achievements, they become one of those money grubbing fools who control the strings of anxious and ignorant people of the society (India has many). To really learn astrology- you have to be very inquisitive, resourceful and must have a very intense desire to know the truth. After all, astrology did not originate from any person, it came directly from God - when man was in his deepest misery, this science came to his aid so that he can change the course of his future.
If you want to learn anything for that matter you have learn only in its truest spirit and never belittle it by attaching some nasty clauses to it.
