Dear Bassu,

Plz write something interesting on spirituality so that when I login again I feel happy to read.

Sure, Sita.

Sita,

I will tell you something which happened yesterday. It is very interesting and worth sharing with you all here. Yesterday I was told by someone that I should not waste my time sitting idle but try hard to find success. I know the person said that to me out of concern, and I really have the highest regard for him as I have told him yesterday also. We have had our arguments because our beliefs in life are different—he believes in free will, and I believe in destiny. So he feels that I myself am responsible for my difficulties in life, and I feel destiny is responsible for it. He believes in free will and I believe in God’s will. Now, keeping this aside for a while, I would like to talk about something else now, which is in an interesting way connected to his advice to me yesterday—at least, that’s what I felt. Maybe my biased mind has made me feel that way—that’s for you guys to judge.

I love watching serials, just like I love watching movies. People tell me, how can you watch serials? It’s crap. I laugh at them because even though it may come across as most incredible, but it is true that I have come across wisdom in the serials, which I have found in spiritual books. I have shared some of them earlier also, which we had discussed on. These days I am seeing a couple of serials. I will like to talk about yesterday’s episode of one of them.

There recently they have introduced the character of a yogini, who is talking about spirituality, sometimes. Yesterday in the serial the yogini said to another person that sometimes it is better to not try. It is better to surrender to God’s will. If something is destined to happen, to let it be than to keep on trying to change it. She also said that each and every person has to experience his share of suffering and his share of happiness in this life and none can escape it. I thought later on that in the morning someone was telling me that I should not waste my time and try, and in the evening I was watching a serial, which was telling me that the biggest mistake one does sometimes is to keep trying when it is better to let go, to accept one’s fate, whatever it is.

Was it a coincidence that the character in the serial talked about accepting destiny and not to make the mistake of trying always when someone was telling me in the morning that one should fight destiny and keep trying, or was it God’s assuring me that my belief was right: that what I am suffering is my destiny, and I should accept it than try to change it? I leave it to you guys to decide.

XXX,

I never said that it proved I am right. I just shared what happened yesterday, and gave you guys the choice to decide on what it may mean. It can of course be the play of maya, who always makes us believe something, when something else is the reality. This belief that we are the doer is also a wrong impression we have, thanks to maya, again.

P.S. Don't call me Bassu. Only my sis has the right to call me that, no one else.

Dear Sita,

It's very difficult to write about spirituality, so when you are not reading much, you are missing a lot.

With no offence to anyone, I would like to contribute here, whether to fight destiny or go with the flow.

I would be of the opinion that one should always act in the best interest of the situation giving it a full thought as per the actual circumstances, irrespective of what astrologically his/ her chart say.

And moreover, if you go to four different astrologers everyone will come up with a different prediction, suggestion and advice.

I have seen people spoiling their lives after taking predictions and I have seen people well settled, who never resort to this side of life. Well, vice versa is also equally true.

I am not saying astrology does wrong to anyone there is no harm in taking prediction, suggestion and advice but one should not decide events/ flow of life on the basis of that. You should always put your best after giving full deliberation.

Dream,

I liked your post very much. I completely agree with what you have said. I always say that when you are thinking of your life, it's always more sensible to think logically than astrologically. And yes, it is true, I have seen this too that people who doesn't consult astrologers and take decisions on their own are much better off than those who consult astrologers, but the point is, people who consult astrologers do so because they are going through difficult times and needs advice, so it is obvious they have bad charts or are running bad periods, and so, even with advice, their efforts don't pay most of the time as nothing works when fate is not on your side. And then, I feel, what's the point of knowing which time is good or which time is bad, astrologically, as one will get the good and bad effects of the periods, irrespective of whether he is aware of it beforehand or not.

About fighting destiny or going with the flow, I think everyone initially tries to fight destiny. I don't think there is anyone in the whole world, who will give up in the first try. He will keep trying, till he gets fed up and gives up and surrenders to destiny. That is what I mean when I talk about surrendering to destiny.

If you are locked up in a room, you will shout a few times, asking someone to open the door, and if that doesn't work, you will bang the door of the room a few times, then, you will try some other way to get out of the room, but then, when you find no help and no way to escape, you will get tired and go and sit back in a corner of the room, keeping quiet. Isn't it what any person would do? So after repeated failures each and every person surrenders to destiny as there is no other option left for him, and he takes this decision with a logical mind.

Exactly, this is my point. When everything is destined, why are you stopping the flow thinking you already know about the future events happening or that such a such position in the chart will never give you gain or good married life or career, whatever the case may be.

One should keep on doing things diligently, rather than thinking about the things that will happen in future. One should not stop the flow of actions.

Concentrate on present, future will definitely be bright. Thats all I can say.
Basab

Hey Dream,

Who said that? Don't take my statements about my chart seriously as I say them lightly, always. I have never taken decision on my life on the basis of my chart. I was advised to wear a pearl for my career, and I wore it for 1.5 years and stopped wearing it, even though I was said that it is very necessary for me. I really don't bother about what an astrologer says about my chart. I had even given up astrology, completely, the last 2 years, but now I am taking interest in it again, though my chart is not of any interest to me, anymore.

I don't know what my chart will give me because till date nothing has happened as I saw. About life, I believe in taking it as it comes. I don't believe in planning it because plans never work as far as I have understood life. And then, things come very late to me, as per my life trend, so I know, whether it is career or whether it is marriage, they will happen much, much later than any other person.

And then, I have this thing in me to prove people wrong: I have been in situations earlier, and even now, when people have said that 'his life is over, he is finished', and I have come out of those situations, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. How hopeless the situation maybe is, I have come out of it, always, and I know, I will come out of this difficulty too, someday. I have that faith in my destiny, and, of course, in God. This may come across as arrogance, but it is sometimes needed to make people understand that when they say, 'you are finished and there is no future for you', they are not God, to say that confidently.

Hey Basab, I must say you have a strong mind that you handle situations this way. I was just giving plain examples. The problems I mentioned in my previous post, I don't intend to refer to your chart. I have written everything generally quoting the problems we usually have.

Hey Dream,

I don't have a strong mind, but I have a huge faith in God and in my destiny, and when I talk about my destiny, I am not talking about my chart. The thing with me is, I get things very late and after enormous difficulties, but I get them, alright. That has always been the case for me. About trying, I have seen in my life, that everytime I have tried, I have failed, and when I have said, I give up, destiny has helped me out, so it is nothing to do with a strong mind, but everything to do with my tremedous faith in God and my destiny.

About the chart, I am sorry, I misunderstood you. If you don't mind my asking, are you a girl? I felt that reading this and the previous post of yours, so thought of asking.

Wow! I was right! Amazing! Sometimes, I can understand just by reading someone's posts whether the person is a boy or a girl. :)
