Lord Venus if combust will show problems in these areas, then how come the same blessed her with all the karakas!!!
Aseem,

The basic funda of astrology is that each and every planet will give its results. Milred's Venus is combust, but it is exalted and vargattoma, too. Venus will give the result of exaltation and vargattoma status and also give the result of combustion--it will give the result of both. If her Venus was not so strong, then she would not have enjoyed the luxurious life she is leading.

aseem82 wrote:YEs I agree with you but what Amitabh Bachchan actually prays for? Does he pray for moksha help or does He pray for his solutions to his problems?

Attanining Moksha is not about seeking respites from the problems but continuously requesting to Almighty to show him the right path!!! :)
You are right.

aseem82 wrote:Yeah on the future will tell whether you will become a Monk or a successful businessman!!! :D
Yeah, that is true, only destiny has the answer to it.

I gave the answer earlier only  : The role combust Venus is playing in her chart is that she is loosing interest in materialistic life, now after being fully into it for the last so many years. Earlier, exalted Venus gave its result, now her attachment to material life is getting combust by the fire of spirituality, brought in by the fiery rays of the Sun, which is turning the materialistic Venus in the 7th house to a spiritual one as the 9th lord of religion.

Why has God created this beautiful world, full of attractions, if He didn't want us to enjoy it? Let us enjoy the world of maya for sometime, and then, we will think of going beyond that. Till then, don't scare us.
I am not scaring anyone!!!. But the above sentence does make me laugh!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha :D

aseem82 wrote:Yes I agree with you but isn't Jnana Yoga- the path to God also!!!
Yes, jnana yoga is definitely a path to God. It is the path of discrimination, but then, it is not about reading books on spirituality and discussing that topic on a forum, but about discriminating in real life between maya and truth: that everything is maya, and only God is real.

Bassu,will I ever become spiritual? :)
:)

aseem82 wrote:ohh..I thought detachment is due to Katu mahadasha setting in...What will Ketu do then?
A dasha gives the result of what has been promised in the chart. If that was not so, then Ketu dasha would have made eveyone spiritual, irrespective of what combinations was there in their birth charts. Ketu dasha will make one spiritual only when the spiritual combinations are there in one's chart, otherwise, not so. I have got Ketu's dasha too, and I didn't become spiritual in that, and neither did my brother, who got Ketu's dasha, as well. Milred's Ketu dasha is going to fulfill the spiritual promise in her birth chart. That is what I feel.

aseem82 wrote:You mean to say that Lord Venus will make spiritual just because She is the Lord of 9th House and conjunct with 12th Lords?

Since She is combust, does it mean that 9th house of spirituality will prevail?
Aseem,

Milred has many spiritual combinations in her chart.

1. 9th lord of religion exalted and combust by 12th lord of moksha.
2. 8th lord of moksha, exalted in the 5th house of purva punya.
3. Jupiter, a spiritual planet, in the 5th house of purva punya.
4. Moon aspected by Saturn and Mars, a combination for detachment.
5. 5th lord in the 9th house of religion.
6. Ketu, a spiritual planet, in the 10th house of karma.

aseem82 wrote:Well she does said that but since she is not interested in mediatation and daily puja routine, then in what way Lord Venus will make her spiritual i.e. does by reading books like you?
Aseem,

Venus is the planet of love, and its path is devotion: love for God. She has said many times that she loves God, that is what an exalted 9th lord of religion when it is Venus can do. I don't have an exalted Venus as 9th lord, so don't compare me with her. My 9th lord of religion is Mercury, and Mercury is the planet of intellect, so I am more suited to take the intellectual path of jnana. Mercury signifies books, and its being in the 9th house of religion, shows my reading books on religion.
Basab

You are right in your assessment of my chart. I, too, don't think I will be spiritual, but even the little that I have been inclined to spirituality, it has been in the jnana path and not in the bhakti path, like Milred.
Basab

Dev,

Depends whether even if I get success, I will turn spiritual. Maya is so intoxicating that it is difficult to come out of its trap. If I get some success, I may want more of it, and this may go on, not making me spiritual, ever.

About monks you are right, that they have got their desires fulfilled in previous lifetimes, so they don't get attarcted to the world of maya from the beginning of their life. Yes, past life karma can only explain the present birth problems, and that is what we call destiny.

Yes, dreaming about worldly enjoyment is definitely maya, and I don't feel guilty. one bit, to call myself materialistic. Being materialistic is not a sin after all.
Dev wrote:May be if in few years u achieve all in materialistic way and then find it to be maya after enjoyment, u would then become spiritual.

Some special souls who from the very beginning had vairagya and became a monk are exceptions who have it carried over from previous janmas. So here is the link, one cannot think of this janma in isolation, if they do so, they can never be happy and can never explain things.

Still, after saying all this, I felt that if u have not had enjoyment and had suffering, when the enjoyment itself is a maya, the enjoyment that u did not have, thinking about it and saying that u want to enjoy, becomes another maya. Once of course u experience that, u will feel having achieved something materialistically.

I know that everyone will die one day, but should we cry over that and spoil the days that we are going to live?

You, your dear ones, and all of us in the forum, our relatives, friends, enemies will all die one day and that is reality.
Dev

Sudarshang ji,

I didn't understand what Mrig-trishna means. Well, yes, they are two sides of the same coin, but I, like everyone else, don't want the side of the coin, which I have got.
Basab

Sita,

Spirituality for me is, detaching yourself from the world of maya and attaching yourself to God.

:)
Basab

Sita,

How can a deer be there in a desert? Only camels are found in deserts. But then, I have understood the essence of the lines. It's beautiful.
Basab

Sita,

We can attach ourselves to God by detaching ourselves from the world of maya. Renunciation and discrimination is the only way. One has to give up two things: wealth and lust. Without that, one cannot realize God. The spirituality that the rest of the people talk about is spirituality of convenience.

Sri Ramakrishna has said that a mother is busy cooking food in the kitchen as long as her child is happy playing with toys, but when the child leaves aside the toys, and starts crying for his mother, with a deep yearning, the mother immediately comes to the child's side. Here mother is being compared to Mother of the Universe, Goddess Kali, and the toys are the materialistic things that we play with, forgetting God.

Sri Ramakrishna says we shed jugfuls of tears, for our parents, our beloved, our children, but when it comes to God, we don't shed one drop of tear, and we think of realizing God. God can never be realized by indulging in a materialistic life.
