The first 3 degrees of Magha are Gandanta degrees, Ravi would be in a soup there. The rest of the degrees are ok I guess. But Ravi in Magha would give a very high ego and an uncompromising if not aggressive and arrogant nature. Most people focus on the Moksha angle of Ketu, but ignore the fiery warlike nature of the S. Node. Kuja vat Ketu. Also note that the 3 nakshatras of Ketu are in the 3 fiery rashis, Simha, Mesha and Dhanu. The higher nature of Ketu is very rare but the lower nature is abundant. Also in my opinion if spirituality or dharmik bhav is brought by Ketu in any person's chart, that person might be fanatical in his/her beliefs, keeping in tune with Ketu's warlike nature. Ketu is also the Karaka for indifference, which is often mistaken for and confused with vairagya. This is entirely mu opinion btw, I might be wrong.
Absolutely right sir . Ketu is like a hot coal burning under a pile of cool ash , step on it and be ready for a pleasant suprise . . Beautiful research by you . Thank you .
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji
But indifference is detachment (nishkama karma). Vairagya or active renouncement is an inferior cousin (from a spiritual perspective) of indifference.
I feel that the indfference or detachment comes only from vairagya. Vairagya comes after learning hard lessons in most cases. It could be in both ways ie you get cheated, so u feel there is no meaning for friendship, then u have lot of liking for someone and they die, that makes u think that nothing is permanent, on the other side, u might have committed lot of sins and when reaping the fruits, u feel u are reaping the fruits of what u have sown and develop vairagya.
These are different ways, how can one get vairagya otherwise, it cannot come on its own, indifference also cannot come on its own for normal people. In exceptional cases, from last janma sambandha, they may be born with such a nature from the beginning itself.
You are welcome. Earlier, I used to try to accept what destiny offered me, which Dev has mentioned as you said, but these days, I have given up on that too. I behave like a typically materialistic person these days, who cries when he fails and is happy when he finds success in something and complains to God for all his miseries. And when it comes to accepting also, I do that when it is bearable, and that is nothing to do with spirituality or my belief in destiny, but just the accepting of life as it is.
Yes, 'destiny is predestined' is the only truth for me! I will never ever believe in free will. If tomorrow I fight destiny and achieve something in life, I will call that predestined too. I feel the effort you put is also predestined. You are thinking you are fighting destiny, but I feel, it is your destiny that you will fight with your destiny.
I can give you a very interesting assignment if you of course choose to accept it. Once you are done with the assignment, maybe you will start believing in what I say: whenever a person talks about free will, talks about changing his destiny, ask for his/her birth chart. Invariably, you will find in the chart a strong Mars or a strong 3rd house. You may ask, why so? Well, because in astrology Mars is the planet of valour, of fight, of energy, of effort, and 3rd house the significator of the same.
I have come across 3 people here who talk about free will the most. Interestingly, all 3 of them have exalted Mars. So Mars, as per destiny, is making them keep a belief that they are predestined to keep. It is destiny only that they challenge destiny, but if you tell them about it, they will refuse to accept it as such is meant to be their destiny.
My belief in predestined destiny is not a coincidence either. I don't believe in putting efforts. Why? My chart answers the question very well: Mars in my chart is weak and is placed in the 12th house of loss, making me lose all the traits of Mars, one of them being the belief in fighting destiny.
Look at your chart: you may be having a strong Mars or a strong 3rd house. Another point you may also check: if there are malefics in the 3rd and 6th house: that gives a person the strength to fight adverse situations. So, you see, a birth chart shows how much effort we will put, and even then people say that it's their free will. But they are that way being faithful to their destiny: they are keeping a belief that destiny wants them to keep.

Indifference is not exactly detatchment. It is more like uncaring. The exact sanskrit word would be udasina. An indifferent person doesn't care what happens to himself or others. Detatchment, in my opinion, is actually when you transcend the feeling of pleasure or pain. Its like courage, when someone sticks to the course inspite of being very very afraid. (I have interacted a lot with military personnel and I am yet to find a single warrior who is not afraid to die, even Mahaveer Chakra winners).
Indifference/uncaring is the lower nature of Ketu while detatchment/vairagya/nishkam is the higher nature. The lower nature of Ketu sometimes makes those who have afflicted ketu, extremely merciless. Simply put - one who has no pity for himself will certainly not have pity for others.
About the higher nature, I really do not know. I am the least bit spiritual, maybe thats why I cannot find the correct words to put my view across. All the above is my personal view btw, I might be wrong.

Its very pertinent to this thread that we discuss this yoga in detail , since its connected to spirituality . Prof O.P. in his book "yogas , the Marvels of Hindu Astrology" has described a chandala yoga as such ' Should Rahu be conjunct with Guru and be aspected by Malefics or Guru be in debilitation sign or Navamsha A chandala yoga is caused . " The results are that the native gets involved in mean acts and in sexual relations with some low caste woman . "
N.E.Muthuswamy says "When Rahu is conjoined with Guru , this yoga is formed , the native will have a dual personality , be covert and overt ."
Gunjur Ramachandra Shastri has a better explaination . He says " When Guru is with Rahu or Ketu , combust , retrograde , and debilitated, in the Nakshatra of Rahu or Ketu , or if Rahu and Ketu are in the Rashi of Guru the yoga is formed . The person will then be a athiest , hold a extremist view of religion , will sometimes dismiss God's existance , will refuse to accept the sacred texts ,and will form his own views on religion, will not follow the rituals and reject the prescribed forms of Worship .
first of all we must understand what a Chandala is . Strictly speaking, a Chandala is a person who performs the task of burying the dead humans and other creatures . Simple as that .
I am inclined to accept Gunjur Ramachandra Shastri's view completely . Note my horoscope . Guru is in debilitation in the lagna . For most part of my life , I never believed in God . It went to a extreme in Rahu Dasha. In Guru dasha , I shied away from my own religion and started following Hinduism . My heart actually leans towards Tantra and I have a deep passion for the occult .
Let us take another example . July 3rd 1977 16 25 Mangalore . Note Rahu and Guru conjunct in the Navamsha , and Ketu's placement in Guru's rashi . The person was born a Muslim , But has not Gone to the Mosque since the past 15 years at least . He does not believe in prayers , but he has a interest in Hinduism . He is not biased about any religion and mingles with people from all religions .
Now the question here is , Is this a good yoga or a bad yoga . Look at the following video and decide for your self .

This is so true Astroboy.
My moon is in the nakshatra of Satabhisha. I have so much charisma, it oozes out of my ears. I have very little spiritual realization, but If I make a casual comment everybody listens to me like I am some special guru. it is like God has given me the power of false power.
Why do the masses take me so seriously? Why does everybody think I am some spiritual guru, even though I haven't earned it.

You have the charisma because of the Bhadra MahaPurusha Yoga (Produced by: Ascendant, Mercury) Mercury is in his own or exalted sign and in a kendra/angle from the Lagna or the Moon , Then the native will be . He will be intelligent, will be clean (pure thoughts and clean body), praised by learned persons, very rich and prosperous and eloquent in his speeches.
a good orator/writer and someone who can communicate his/her ideas to the world with utmost ease. will be sharp , witty, well dressed . Has a very sharp intellect . He has a independent nature, and is protector of his family. His friends share in the enjoyment of his wealth, will be rich and impressive when addressing the assembly.

Note the exaltation of Rahu . Another point is that Shukra sits in the 10th along with the 9th lord , forming a dharma Karmadhipathi yoga . Rahu will give Shukra's effects also .

My "false power" informs me to instruct you on this. Lord Saturn doesn't like it when we ignore people. When MagicMouse made a thread dedicated to you, and you ignored him, Lord saturn doesn't like that. Send him a private message of thanks or something. Don't let the fame go to your head.
My dear friend . What am I supposed to say ?? Would that not be blowing my own trumpet ?? I have Thanked MM prior to him opening that thread when we corrosponded via PM .

Chandraswami , is a controversial Indian tantrik (tantra practitioner).
His father was from Bahrod in Rajasthan, a simple money lender, who later moved to Hyderabad when he was a child to get more work. Chandraswami left home to become a disciple of Upadhyay Amar Muni and tantra Pandit Gopinath Kaviraj. After that he lived in the jungles of Bihar, meditating. He claims to have obtained siddhi (miraculous powers) after four years. He is a controversial Godman. He is said to have been a "spiritual adviser" of the Prime Minister of India, P V Narasimha Rao.
In 1996, he was arrested on charges of swindling. He was accused of cheating and defrauding a London-based businessman Lakhubhai Pathak of $100,000.
Larry J. Kolb's book "Overworld" goes into some detail on Chandraswami and a meeting they both had with Daniel Ortega. Kolb refers to him as one of the "ten most-wanted men of India."
He was acquitted in the St Kitts forgery case in 2004. He is currently facing nine Foreign Exchange Regulation Act (FERA) violation cases in which he is facing trial.
Chandraswami has claimed that he was framed by Arjun Singh, former Human Resource Development Minister and now a close aide of Congress President Sonia Gandhi[7] in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
His past followers are said to have included two former prime ministers, PV Narasimha Rao and Chandrashekhar, former bihar CM Laloo Prasad Yadav, ex-UP governor Romesh Bhandari, the Sultan of Brunei, Bahrain ruler Sheikh Isha Kaleefa, and Elizabeth Taylor.

“A man who believes in God can never find God. If you are open to reality, there can be no belief in reality. If you are open to the unknown, there can be no belief in it. After all, belief is a form of self-protection, and only a petty mind can believe in God. Look at the belief of the aviators during the war who said God was their companion as they were dropping bombs! So you believe in God when you kill, when you are exploiting people. You worship God and go on ruthlessly extorting money, supporting the army — yet you say you believe in mercy, compassion, kindliness.†J Krishnamurti
I maintain that Truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect.
Jiddu Krishnamurti
Religion is the frozen thought of man out of which they build temples.
Jiddu Krishnamurti
Your belief in God is merely an escape from your monotonous, stupid and cruel life.
Jiddu Krishnamurti
If one is aware, one sees how through fear one’s concept of God arose; or perhaps there was a person who had an original experience of reality or of God and communicated it to another who in his greediness made it his own,
you are always comparing what is being said with what has been said by some saint, or by Shankara, Buddha, or Christ. You say, "All these people have said this before, and you are only giving it another twist, a modern expression" – so naturally it is nothing new to you. It is only when you have ceased to compare, when you have put away Shankara, Buddha, Christ, with all their knowledge, information, so that your mind is alone, clear, no longer influenced, controlled, compelled, either by modern psychology or by the ancient sanctions and edicts – it is only then that you will find out whether or not there is something
The core of Krishnamurti's teaching is contained in the statement he made in 1929 when he said: "Truth is a pathless land". Man cannot come to it through any organization, through any creed, through any dogma, priest or ritual, nor through any philosophical knowledge or psychological technique. He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through the understanding of the contents of his own mind, through observation, and not through intellectual analysis or introspective dissection. Man has built in himself images as a sense of security – religious, political, personal. These manifest as symbols, ideas, beliefs. The burden of these dominates man's thinking, relationships and his daily life. These are the causes of our problems for they divide man from man in every relationship
Note the presence of Rahu in Guru's nakshatra and Guru in Rahu Nakshatra . Now see what shri Ramachandra Shastri has said , " When Guru is with Rahu or Ketu , combust , retrograde , and debilitated, in the Nakshatra of Rahu or Ketu , or if Rahu and Ketu are in the Rashi of Guru the yoga is formed . The person will then be a athiest , hold a extremist view of religion , will sometimes dismiss God's existance , will refuse to accept the sacred texts ,and will form his own views on religion, will not follow the rituals and reject the prescribed forms of Worship .

This is a very curious thing I have noticed about Guru-Chandal yoga regarding women (this factor doesn't apply to men in my experience). Guru by traditional wisdom is the Karaka for the first husband of a woman (Shani is the karaka for the 2nd). If Guru is with Rahu or in the Nakshatra of Rahu in a womans chart, she developes a fascination for offbeat/unconventional/weak (needs continuous pampering and ego massage) and sometimes cowardly kind of males and she usually chooses a wayward/irresponsible/hypocritical/scheming/usually worthless or extremely unsuitable person as her first husband. The first marriage is usually from unhappy/unsatisfactory to a total disaster. However whether it will break apart is dependent on other factors. This is however more preponderent with Rahu...I'm not so sure about Ketu.
This is a personal observation but is this corroborated by your experience?

Anuradha ji , You are right . Phaladeepaka says "Paashandi" or to be more precise "Paash(kha)anda" which means one who is wicked and opposing virtuous deeds . The translator has interpreted this to be a "blasphemous heretic" while not concocting the same exact meaning , makes sense in the larger scheme when you consider Guru's role of being a religiously oriented man .
blasphemy is also a wicked deed ,
Thanks for pointing this out to me . . I had to dig up the Kannada text to verify this .

A wonderful woman who married the most useless man on earth ( what ever I have underlined is essentially him ). Marriage broke up within 4 years . The lagna is Mesha, Guru is in the 7th in Swati Nakshatra . .

Yes, in the Navamsha Guru is in Satabhisha another Nk of Rahu, the Nav 7th L Guru is in the 6th. It figures. Also the Lady is Mesh Lagna, the biggest hot headed smart asses there ever are...they usually rush headlong into marriage without a 2nd thought and then regret at leisure. Tell me one thing, was this husband employed in the Printing/ Publishing/ Media Industry?
