Lucky are we , that we are born here . If we have the yogas for spirituality , but land up in Ibiza dont expect your task to be made easy . India can give you that extra push even though you have weak yogas for spirituality . Take my word for it . Another important point , Guru should never be retrograde , combust , debilitated, afflicted with other malefics , all other factors being equal . It give a wierd twist to a man spiritual path .

We are supposed to embrace life as it comes, enjoy the happy moments, feel bad during the sad moments but be righteous all the time, finish our responsbilities with love, never forget GOD and go back to him when HE calls us. I personally dont believe there are any shortcuts to this. I am sorry to say this, but astroboy, I definitely do not think that marriage becomes an obstruction to spiritual path. I actually think marriage teaches a person about his or her responsbilities and without understanding and fulfilling the responsibilities, one can never really break free as you are not totally out of rinaaanubandhas. Let us not drag this pessimistic and negative thread. it is pulling us away from spirituality and as your well-wisher, I feel I can advise you this. Agreed that I may choose not to read this but I feel sad that youngsters like you with so much potential are looking at glass half-full. As you yourself said in one of your old threads, the nine planets are sort of guys to whom the job is outsourced by GOD. We need to understand what these guys are teaching us, learn it while praying to GOD to teach it to us in a soft manner and help others while we can (which you are doing in a great way). The question that comes to my mind is this - Can Osho qualify to be in this thread where the topic is about renouncing. Osho gave a different meaning to renunciation. Osho’s understanding of ‘Sannyas’ is a radical departure from the traditional Eastern viewpoint.

"For Him it is not the material world that needs to be renounced but our past and the conditionings and belief systems that each generation imposes on the next".

Before we proceed on the analysis, one needs to be clear on Osho's definition of renunciation. His teachings were revolutionary. I read about the definition of Sanyasi in the earlier posts. He does not fit the same. What planets gave this twist? My two bits.

You could be right . There is a huge arguement on what the correct time of Osho is . In My opinion S.P.Khullar Ji's opinion on the T.O.B. is too close for comfort . He is basically into K.P. astrology and might have rectified the time as per K.P. . Let us take the time You have mentioned and analyse the horoscope .

A beautiful story narrated to me by very well read person . I am posting it here for the Benefit of all ,

Once when shiva and parvati were doing vaana sanchar they saw a glorious yogi sitting in the himalayas and emitting self effulgent light. Parvati was curious to know who he was. Initially shiva dissuaded parvati from going near him but finally parvati managed to convince shiva and they just descended in front of this yogi.

Parvati was so impressed by this man that she offered him a boon and the yogi smilingly refused and told her that he doesnt need any. because he was immersed in brahmam, the absolute.

Shiva told parvati that this man is complete in all respects which made parvati ask a boon from that yogi. She asked the yogi whether he will be willing to be born as her son.

The yogi said that since he is brahma swaroopa he cant take another yoni but said that I will still be your son. Days went by and from six streaks of light from the gnana agni of lord shiva came a six headed child.

The yogi was lord sanatkumar who was a disciple of dakshinamurthy, and his next birth was karthikeya. Karthikeya is the only soul ever to be born from the energy of a man without a touch of illusion in it. In short, Lord Muruga was or is the only MAN in the cosmos. All the others have some feminine touch.

After hinduism went for a six after a lot of scriptural and logic garbage there arose a need for somebody to come down and teach people to search god in the most basic way and Ramana Maharishi was born.

He attained during Jupiter/mars where jupiter being his master, shri Dakshinamurthy and He himself is representative of the Martian Principle.

Though, there are a few schools of thought regarding his lagna I know for sure that it is Libra.

In the navamsa, according to Jaimini Ketu in the 12th to karakamsa gives a tendency to moksha and the same ketu being aspected by benefics confers moksha.

Astrologers have been wondering as to how the aspect of mars alongwith benefics, venus and mercury could have conferred moksha. As far as Ramana Maharishi is concerned Mars is not a Malefic. Mars helped him to realise and in turn he helped mars (The earth) in trying to negate a lot of karma.

Though, Ramana had actually given liberation only to a few humans alongwith a couple of animals he did a tremendous job in negating a lot of karma of a lot of people.

Ramana Maharishi is also regarded as an avataar of Lord Murugan by some of his disciples. Ganapathi Muni, one of his well known disciples, has referred to Ramana Maharishi as his younger brother(Kathikey is considered as the second son of Shiva-Parvathi) in some of his poems.

I got a mail this morning asking me to share my Views of Shri Ravi Shankar ( The art of living ) and why I do not have a high opinion of him .

Let me tell you first of all , That I have no opinion of him at all . I think he is a good business man selling a product called "Peace" which nobody has been able to quantify and define . What is 'peace" for you might be 'misery" for me . It makes perfect business sense to sell a product which has no shelf life , Has no definite standard and cannot be quantified .

If you think abstractly , he is at best a good business man in the garb of a good spiritualist . It is wrong to say that he is a "perfect Renunciate" . Let me tell you why ? Nobody can renounce the world while living in between the material . Its a man's fallacy to think that he has Renounced the world when you give "Gyaan" to a 1000 people a day , drive around in a BMW 7 series , buy real estate around the country to expand your brand of "Gyaan" , and hobnob with crocked politicians day in and day out . This is not Renunciation . This is fooling the self and fooling a lot of other stupid people who do not understand what Renunciation actually means . Just because he is single , does not make him a Sanyasi .



Let me give you a small story ,

There is a temple known as the "Shri Dalada Maligawa " in kandy , Sri lanka . This temple supposedly holds the tooth of Budha , and is held as one of the most revered places by Buddhist . Now as we all know , Buddha 's philosophy rests and lays great emphasis on Non Violence and Righteousness.

Now according to legends , when Buddha died , his body was cremated in a pyre made of Sandal wood at Kusinara in India . ( Look at the irony here . Buddha who left his kingdom , his wife and child , would not have cared how his mortal remains would have been disposed off . He would definately not have wanted a pyre of Sandal wood . This goes to show , how many people really understood his Philosophy )

His left Canine tooth was retrived from a funeral pyre by Arahat Khema who gave it to King Brahmadatta for veneration . It became a Royal possession and was kept in Dantapuri , in Orissa . Gradually a belief grew that whoever possesed the tooth would have the divine right to rule the land . And this wars broke out to get hold of the tooth of the buddha . ( Look at the irony here , Buddha who preached Non Violence all his life was indirectly responsible for war ) .

The tooth came in the possession of Guhaseeva of Kalinga in the 4th century , as he was the worshipper of the relic there was discontentment among some of the citizens who persuaded King Paandu to attack Kalinga . Paandu decided to destroy the relic and ordered it to be brought to the city , It is said that when the tooth arrived a miracle occured and Paandu converted to Buddhism ( Might be because of the theory that who ever had the tooth would rule the land ) .

Fearing for the safety of the tooth Guhaseeva secretly sent the relic away, smuggled to the island by his daughter the Princess Hemamali and her husband, Prince Dantha on the instructions of her father King Guhasiva. They landed in the island in Lankapattana during the reign of King Kirthi Sri Meghavarna (301-328) and handed over the tooth relic. The king enshrined it Meghagiri Vihara (present day Isurumuniya) in Anuradhapura. Safeguard of the relic was a responsibility of the monarch, therefore over the years the custodianship of relic became to symbolize the right to rule. Therefore reigning monarchs built the tooth relic temples quite close to their royal residences, as was the case during the times of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambadeniya, Yapahuwa and Kurunegala kingdoms.

The point I am trying to make is , Even Budha's Tooth became a instrument of war and politics . This happened to Budha . What Chance does Ravi Shankar stand in this time and age , with so much of moral corruption going around ?? Budha was not to be blamed at all . But look at how a Tooth sparked a war .

I once again say this . Being in the midst of thousands , giving some "Gyaan" and wearing white does not make you a Renunciate . I advice yu to go back to the start of this thread and read it to this page . I hope you will understand what Renunciation means . You are free to call him a Spiritualist if you want . But please do not Call him a Renunciate . You are making a mockary of the word , and to other great Renunciates .

Ramana Aradhana Day is a celebration of Ramana Maharshi’s mahasamadhi. This momentous day was April 14, 1950. Tens of thousands of people were there that day, trying to get one last darshan (glance) of Sri Ramana. The crowd included photographers from Life and Saturday Evening Post magazines. At the time of Ramana’s passing out of the body, there was a white light (a meteor ?), seen by hundreds of thousands of people all over India. Because of two western photographers, one of whom was Henri Cartier Bresson, were there to report on this, the story was picked up in US publications. Ramana’s grand nephew, V. Ganesan, remembers seeing the light. He laughs as he recalls his experience: Since the only source of white light he had ever seen was the flashes of the cameras, he thought it must be some kind of photo flash.
