hello swamycool ji,

thank you so much for such a detailed analysis.I really really appreciate it.in your analysis about my nature & temperament, you are spot on.due to disappoinments in life,I have become very short tempered, rude & feel alone, dejected many times.
please clear one thing which I am so confused about:you & many other astrologers on the forum say that the best time for me to marry is in Venus MD from feb 2016.does it mean that i am destined to marry in 2016 or is it a suggestion that I should marry in 2016 in Venus MD ?? in the coming months, when you say there will be chances, like from jan 2011,will marriage occur or ??? if a situation arises that marriage seems possible within 2011,should I marry or will those chances get converted to marriage??
I am 29 at the moment & we all know that in India, parents always look to marry their kids whenever the chances occur.is it that no matter what we try, marriage wont occur before 2016???

swamycool ji,my other question to you would be about my job as my promotion is due as I have been nominated, please provide your input:
a small background: I got an OK salary hile in Oct 2009,then a decent salary hike in April 2010,joined MBA in April 2010(Venus antardasha).
Then in Oct 2010,I was nominated along with another colleague for the promotion to the position of TECHNICAL LEAD at my office...one of us would be promoted before March 2011...could you please check that whether I will get promoted early next year to that position...I would be completing 4 years in my present company in Jan 2011...
how would I be doing career wise/financially in the coming immediate years or when the Venus MD begins in Feb 2016????

once again I would sincerely thank you swamycool ji for giving me such a detailed analysis :)

thanks in anticipation
& BTW,its chilling here in Chandigarh as well with max temp 11'C & min temp at 2'C with intense foggy mornings :D

Hi Dgp

As u could see ur running ketu MD and ketu is a planet of seperation, misery and detachment from materialism and marriage is all about union, permanence and materialistic world...Ketu and rahu as karmic nodes very rarely give things permanent..Swamykool has done an excellent analysis..Even if u do get married sustaining it will be very tough due to Ketu MD ..Venus being a natural planet of marriage and the good life, things will be good from 2016 onwards

thx

Dear dgp,

sorry for the late reply.

The best chances for your marriage will come after 2016 during your venus MD. Before that there might be chances but very unlikely they will fructify.

Unfortunately chances of promotion in your career in the 1st half of 2011 is very slim. The chances are good from November onwards.

hello to all,

I have read in almost every Ketu related post that Ketu MD means detachment spirituality etc etc, does that mean any native who marries or gets married in Ketu MD faces separation/breakup/divorce ? that cannot be practically possible, is it ?

thanks

A well placed ketu and aspected by benefics such as jupiter, venus or mercury will bestow good results...So if Ketu is strong and well placed, a native could have a stable marriage during ketu dasha also

hello to all respected guruji's here,
hope you all are doing great !

I just had a small query.2-3 days back my parents just out of the blue consulted one of our distant relatives whom we came to about was an astrologer(MPhil in astrology).as my parents are concerned about my marriage,so their basic query was marriage. Now this relative(astrologer) has categorically told my parents that I should stop feeding stray dogs immediately & should never have a pet dog at home(I dont have one either) in my life.I have been feeding stray dogs daily with something or the other since the last 16-17 months without even missing out on a single day. This relative told my parents that dogs will take everything away from me & cause serious harm. This seems highly illogical to me as how can feeding stray dogs be harmful to me or for that matter any individual.I had searched a lot on google a few months about this, related to feeding stray dogs & so many ppl suggested that its a great +karma to do,especially to appease Ketu or reduce the effects of Ketu.Even a lot of you respected ppl here also suggested that I should feed stray dogs as my Ketu MD is going on.I simply dont feel any logic, whether scientific or astrologically, that feeding dogs can harm an individual in anyway.the relative said ppl who are under the effect of rahu-ketu,should never feed dogs & never have a pet dog.
I would request you all esteemed guru's here to kindly tell me what is the logic behind this as now my parents want me to stop feeding dogs immediately but I feel that it doesnt make any logic.
My birth details are already in the thread above, but will post again:
My details are:
Male
DOB: Oct 12th,1981
POB: Chandigarh,India.
TOB: 2:30pm(1430)

would wait for your analysis...Please tell me is it related to an individuals chart that feeding stray dogs(animals) is related to or is it otherwise...
thanks in anticipation

Shuchi , I saw this late , You have already replied . i should not comment . I am boiling at the stupidity of the Mphil in astrology right now . I think he got his Mphil at the Piles university .

Dear dgp,

Do not listen to every idiot that comes around and stress yourself out further. I have gone through quite a few of our shastra granths and nowhere is it written that feeding animals or the destitute, helping the needy or giving succour to the sick and distressed is harmful. In fact annadana is recorded as one of the highest of virtues (punya) and it seriously adds to your account for this life and after (parakaal). Your are doing great punyakarma by feeding poor little stray dogs. Even feeding snakes are considered as a virtue, what of dogs. Dharma himself took the form of a dog and accompanied Yudhishthir in his last journey (mahaprasthan). So don't worry, feel good about it.

And regarding the astro skills of this MPhil, the lesser said the better. The institute which offered this MPhil should be shut down immediately for public good.

Excellent words Swamy Cool ji , Hats off to you , I would not have been able to say it better ,

Dattatreya or Datta is a Hindu Deity encompassing the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, collectively known as Trimurti. The name Dattatreya can be divided into two words - "Datta" (meaning given) and "Atreya" referring to the sage Atri, his physical father).

Various Hindu sects worship him differently. In the Nath tradition, Dattatreya is recognized as an Avatar or incarnation of Shiva and as the Adi-Guru (First Teacher) of the Adinath Sampradaya of the Nathas. Although Dattatreya was at first a "Lord of Yoga" exhibiting distinctly Tantric traits, he was adapted and assimilated into the more devotional (Sanskrit: bhakti) Vaishnavite cults; while still worshiped by millions of Hindus, he is approached more as a benevolent god than as a teacher of the highest essence of Indian thought. Dattatreya is credited as the author of the Tripura Rahasya given to Parasurama, a treatise on Advaita Vedanta.

Werness (2004: p. 138) ventures the semiology of the four dogs each of a different colour oft-depicted in Dattatreya iconography as holding the valence of the four Vedas:
Pre-Vedic Indian dogs were regarded as auspicious symbols, and later deities assumed dog forms, became associated with dogs, and were linked with the glory and fidelity of warriors. Four different-coloured dogs accompanied the Dattatreya, who represented the four Vedas..There is other symbolism attachable here. Dogs also held the cultural significance of 'dog eaters' (Sanskrit: candala) those who existed beyond the confines of Varnashrama Dharma. Dogs are both wild and tame, and symbols of fidelity and devotion (Sanskrit: bhakti).

Swamy cool ji , I want to meet this M phil ( Astrology ) . I have a few things to shove down his throat . He is a menace to society and should be taken away in a paddy wagon .

This is funny. :D

I thought I should feed stray dogs because my Ketu dasha was on. So, when I went to India, I decided to feed stray dogs. (I couldn't find any strays in US- other options being buy dog food at animal shelters- but they accept only monetary donations).

I am mortally scared of all 4 legged creatures. I bought bread and tried to go near one to feed- it raised its head & I dropped the bread and ran. The so-called skinny and starving stray dog of India smelled the bread and moved away without tasting it. That was the end of my dog feeding adventure. He probably did not like that brand or the serving style. Ketu did not want me to feed dogs or whatever. I stuck to monetary donations after that or feeding cows.

Anyway the bottom line was it was done in the spirit of buying good karma, not genuine love for the dogs. So, it did not work.

another story- My grandmother got into her head that she wanted to feed dogs. So, she had the milk man deliver few buckets of milk every evening and then she would sit outside the door and wait. Word got around in dog community and the 20-25 dogs would gather in front of the door every day. Some of them decided to make the area their home. It became impossible for anyone to get inside or outside esp. people like me who were scared. This went on for a few months and my uncle put an end to it.
She was the only one who was not scared of the dogs.
I don't know if she was blessed by Ketu.

Astroboy,

Thanks for the Dattatreya refs. In the Rig Veda there is also a divine bitch called Sarama. One who cursed Janmejaya that his Sarpa Yagna would remain inconclusive, because either he or his brothers had thrashed her pups just for the fun of it.

Anyway what alarms me is how many doggone fools practice mumbo-jumbo in the name of astrology. In dgp's chart Ketu owns the Vipat Tara fr moon and the Naidhana Tara fr lagna (Navtara Chakra). And this guy wants him to get married in his ketu dasha???

Hina ji,

Dogs really don't go for plain bread unless absolutely starving. But dogs like biscuits. You may try giving them some. :D

Hina ji, it’s very rare that animals attack man. They do that only when we step on its tail and enter their safe zone. Humans are such a disgusting species, even snakes slither away from us, not out of fright, but out of sheer disgust. :) .

The poor street is forced to live it's life amongst us animals. We are the scum of the animal kingdom. We rape the earth, loot the plant kingdom and massacre the animal kingdom. Mother earth must be regretting giving birth to us. Any ways, the law of Karma is in place, and hence we have to reap what we have sown.

The street dog has no choice but to live in fear amidst us. I recently saw a man throw some stones at a limping street dog, just for the heck of it. He was trying to impress 5 of his other frack less friends with his aim. Each time he threw a stone, the dog would try to run faster, but the pain would slow it down, at this, the man would unleash another stone in it's direction . This guy was a towering 6.2 ft. tall with a full muscle pack. Needless to say, I was just a mute spectator. Then I did the next best thing possible. I went and stood between the man and the Dog, He had his stone ready to be unleashed, but he could not since i was in line, at this, he made some nasty comment and dropped the stone. This is a human for you.

Let me tell you another story. Shrinivas Rao ji and I were roaming the streets aimlessly. We were driving nowhere in particular when he suggested that we go and meet his friend who runs a small shop at a particular street, we landed there, the man offered us a cold soda, and we were just having small talk when I suddenly saw a dog walking in the street. This Dog was in a pathetic condition to say the least. She had been tied with a long nylon rope around her neck. I picked up a loaf of bread and ran towards her, she stopped in her tracks wondering what is in store for her, and I spotted an abandoned bus stop and beckoned her towards it. The sight of the bread in my hand had a magical effect on her; she came across the street and approached the bus stop with caution. She was so emaciated, forget her ribs showing, her stomach was inverted inwards. I don’t she must have had a good meal in months. To add to this, the rope around her neck was hurting her. I don’t think she was able to swallow anything of substance. More over the rope was an impediment to her moment because the rope would get entangled to her feet the moment she tried walking fast. I crouched down (Never stand when a dog is approaching you. They get scared of your height. You look intimidating to them. Get to the ground and stay there. They will come to you for sure. ), She approached me with caution, sniffed the bread, took it out of my hand and started eating it. I dropped the entire loaf on the floor; she got busy eating it, while i started untying the knot on the rope. The knot was tight. I ran to the shop, picked up another loaf of bread, a knife and a packet of milk, and headed back to her . The dog was so lost in its world; it did not even look up as i used the knife to cut the rope. Now the dog was free...... it looked up, saw the new loaf and the milk and started jumping with joy. Needless to say the two loafs and the milk was polished off in no time. Deed done, I headed for the car, it was time to leave. The dog let out a howl and started following me to the car, Rao ji was shocked as the dog took a big leap and jumped into the car, before I could shut the door. . Rao ji was taken aback; he got into the back seat of the car keeping his front door open. I opened the door once again and pushed her out of the car , Before I could gather my wits, she went around the car , and got in to the car from the door which Rao ji had left open , :) , landing straight on my lap .

As astrologers we found this to be too much of a co-incidence. First of all , had we not taken that area , Rao ji would never have thought of visiting his friend , secondly , the time that we were there and for the dog to appear at the same time was another Nimmita , the final straw was that she got into the car twice, and would refuse to budge from my lap . It was per destined. Fate had decided that she belonged to me from now on. So to cut a long story short, I got in Anamika Part 2 , who is as of now, chasing a butterfly in my garden. It rained heavily and the temperature dropped last night. Needless to say, I had to share my bed with the entire gang who wanted a share of the pull over. :( . The gang leader was the new woman in my life . Anamika . :)

Dogs were never the same to me after I visited Deeapk and his dogs last December. He is Dattathreya reincarnate it seems :D .

Dear DGP,

I know you are feeling bad and want a solution to end your problems and are consulting many people. Forget astrology, just bear in mind a Good time or a Bad time never lasts forever. Things are bound to change. Just wait it out and you will see things turn for the better in due course. Do feed those stray dogs, it's very kind of you to do things like that.
Nitin21

amazing experience sirji. Amazing compassion. Hats off to you :)

Astroboy keeps putting these nimitas in front of me but I have never been intelligent enough to grasp. My 10th co-lord is ketu and it is debiliated :( . Maybe I need to start the remedies by Astroboy as well and see the results for myself. :)

One of my friends in my last workplace, had similar affinity towards dogs. He would often pick up loner pups from the street and bring them home. He knew all the tricks of the trade, to take care of them. They would grow up in no time and would travel with him in his every 6 months changing cars to his farm house and other places where he went. Ketu is aspected by Jupiter in navamsa for him.

AB Ji,

After reading your post, i felt like sharinge this vdo

Cld be irrelevant but thought to share the source of disgust, We Human just dont know how many lives and generation we are spoiling, on the top of it we feel proud calling our kids mirror of ourselves. I wonder why we have heart, why we try to define Love, Justice , compassion ..when we self define it making it the most suitable to us only.

It really makes a difference when people are like You.

My regards to your Guru Ji.
