Saturn is in Makara(12th lord in 12th house) and Guru is also on own house Meena.

Now in your friends chart if you there are lot of planets which are signifying the following houses which are connected to married life and also the after events of the marraige life ie having children,extending her Kula,and happiness after married life. The following houses are important for all these significations: 2,5,7,11
And the negating part of these houses are 1,4,6,10. If any sub lords are connected to these houses then marraige would end.
Let us see this:
Right Now the native is running Moon Maha dasa from 20.04.2003- 20.04.2013 with the ketu dasa from 23.07.2010-19.02.2011.
The planets which are negating the prospects of a good marraige are:
Moon,Mars,Saturn,Rahu all these are connecting to 6th house which is 12th from 7th. The native is running Moon maha dasa hence during this dasa I feel that there would some seperation in the marraige life.
I have just started learing KP and no an expert in this subject. Kindly contact a good KP astrologer to have a better understanding.
In the traditional system we see the 2nd and 8th house from the UL to check whether the marraige would last or not. UL is in Tula rasi and the lord is exalted in Meena rasi which denotes that after marraige there would have been lot of change for the native.
But Ketu is 2nd from UL and 12th from Lagna which can break the marraige. Native is running ketu antara as said earlier

is this person in foreign land? is he an engineer (electronics / software) with high educational background? Career is s/w professional? had faced break in career and marriage very recently after sep 2010? late marriage in 36th year?

yes, started out in hardware and moved to software in 1994 way before others. he started out to be in business in India, after many failed business, in the late 80's he finally found his true calling and with a mentor completed his engineering and then his Masters. Worked as a lecturer in engineering college, then got a Govt job as Scientist and then joined the IT industry in 1994. Since 1998 has been working for the same employer.
A few proposal came in 2007 and 2008 and 2009 but nothing really clicked. In 2007, even a date to formalize the realtionship was decided but broke down a few days before that. Same in 2008 with another girl.
When do you see an end to the divorce case and possibility for remarriage and happiness in life.

Marital life has been a mess. had many affairs and finally got married in 1995 - arranged marriage. immediate breakdown and filed for Divorce in 1997. Case has been going on in India and currently in highcourt under appeal..................................had faced break in career and marriage very recently after sep 2010? late marriage in 36th year?
