Yama and Prahara Calculations

Dear memebers

I am here with giving the calculations of Yama and Prahara calculations. Yama is the god of death and based on your birth time you can find who is your Yama and also you can find the Prahara. Prahara is the form of shiva who would block the death. The planet representing the Yama would manifest in your chart based on its placement.

The calculation is taken based on the length of the day to be 12 Hours for the day and 12th hours for the night. This can change from place to place based on the sunrise and sunset for that area and for the day the native is born

In the order of Kalachakra and the forms of worship
Sun(ISHANA)
Mars(RUDRA)
Jupiter(DHIMA)
Mercury(SARVA)
Venus(BHAVA)
Saturn(UGRA)
Moon(MAHADEVA)
Rahu(PASUPATI)


Example:
Native was born on 3:50 AM Sun rise
Sunset was on 3:52 which comes to 24 Hours
24/8=3 Hours Per Prahara
3:50 - 6:30
6:30 - 9:30
9:30 - 12:30(Native was born on 3rd Prahara)
which comes to Sun from Moon
Sun in the form of Shiva to be worshipped to block the Yama
Ex: for Sun it is OM NAMASHIVAYA

You need to check the placement of Yama and Prahara in the chart

Calculation of Yama (this follows the concept of the day and night)

8 Yamas in a day
4 in the day time and 4 in the night time
(Depends on the length of the day)
12 each in day and night
Divide 12/4
Each Yama is of 3 hours(if the day is 12 hours)
Yamas are based on the order of week days(Depends on the day the native is born)
Example:
Born on Monday
Moon is the first Yama of the natives birth
Mars is the second Yama
Mercury is the third Yama
Jupiter is the fourth Yama
Venus is the fifth Yama
Saturn is the 6th Yama
Rahu is the 7th Yama
Sun is the 8th Yama

Person born at 11:05 AM (Day time)
Sun rise at 3:50
Sun set: 20:38
Diff in hours: 16 hours:88 Minutes
Divided this by 4 for Portion of 1 Yama
4 Hours 22 Minutes approx(Portion of Yama)
Sun rise was at 3:50 Minutes
Hence the 1st Yama would be from:
3:50 - 7:50
2nd Yama would be from 7:50-11:50
person born at 11:05 AM (Day time)
Hence the 2nd Yama would operate
Person was born on Monday (Example)
hence the 2nd Yama would be Mars
If the Yama is afflicated in the chart of the native then the planet associated with the Yama Planet would bring death like situations. See the Chara Karaka associated with Mars. In this example it is Mars and it created a death like situation for the Mother as Chara Karaka for Mother was Mars. Mars was debilidated in the native chart.
