Lets say you kill a cow tomorrow, but your purva punya operating you do not get any punishment in this life. Do you go scott free ? NO. You take another birth and in that feed 10 brahmins on an auspicious Dwadashi day. The next day a cow comes raging on to you and pushes the horns in your stomach and lifts you 10 feet high in air. You are in a hospital wondering, I fed 10 bramins on Dwadashi. Why did i have to go through all this ? Are scriptures farce ? Is there any God ? does God listen to me ? If it is all pre-destined, why do i do all these austerities ?
So, by being hurt by the cow, you reaped paapa prarabdha. By feeding 10 brahmins, you accumulate punya to keep you sustaining for happiness on earth in current and next life.
Some sins are burnt by remedies and heartfelt prayers, some are prarabdha. Life is of different colours. Expecting everything to be black and white is not the right approach towards spirituality. We reap what we do. Remedies take you closer to God. Remedies burn your sins, if they are burnable. Even during a paap prarabdha, remedies work wonders and make you hold yourself better for difficult times.
Regards

Wow sonu...that was beautifully explained. Infact just yest there was a huge arguement on this subject. Will send her this link. If she has further doubts, will pass it onto u.
Thanks
Thanks
In South India, feeding anyone on ekadashi is considered as sinful. it is recommended that everyone observe fasting on ekadashi( not possible by everyone and not recommended in present day and age). Feeding on dwadashi is considered an act of punya. feeding a good practising brahmin on dwadashi(difficult to find, qualify and quantify in present day) is considered to be one of the greatest act of punya.

Sunsri.. Well pointed out. In the haste to exemplify, i put the wrong day as an example. Ekadashi is a day indeed which is a niyat fasting for everyone. I am editing my post above. Thanks for pointing this out.

Hi Guys,
Would like to keep my point here. Ohk, don't you think that if there is a remedy for some problems in life and that are told by any astrologer, the event of life when the person comes and meet the astrologer is also predestined. I have heard from someone that astrologers many a times are not able read the chart properly or can say misses out some important event, it is such that event destined to happen. Only those events which can either be effected by that astrologer only comes out of the mouth of the astrologer. I mean meeting an astrologer till remedies working for an human being is predestined. Events which God wants to be corrected or the way in which God wants them to happen are told by the astrologer, astrologer just read the will of God, which is already decided. No one can change any event if its not the wish of God for that to happen.
What ever has to happen will happen?
If for example-I do a remedy for Saturn and some events which were delayed happens in my life, happens after that remedy. After five years i go to an astrologer, he will see the chart, i will not tell him the remedy done, chart will not change, still he can time when that event would have happened.
Hope I am able to explain it, meeting to any astrologer for any remedy is also predestined so that things can be corrected on time.
I am bad in writing, kindly ignore the mistakes if any,

I agree with you on this, Pari. Even whether a person will get to know his future is predestined.
