I know this couple who are perfect together. There is much love and understanding between them. They fight like all couples but I can see their desire to stay in the relationship so they also always fight their way back to each other.
They have been dating for close to 10 years and both live abroad so they have been each others support system away from home. Their families also get along really well. Their respective families have seen the boy and girl grow up together since they have been dating since they were in school (12th grade).
Despite all this positives guna Milan is very poor. Should they get married?

1. Moon/Chandra in your birth-charts are in 6-8 positions from each others... an indication of your minds not being in sync with each other. So, restrain from generalizing the situation with all other couples... although there will be a few couples, who sail in similar condition and regret a lot being misaligned with each other.
2. I'm inclined to think the boy seems to be more like somebody who'll fall in love and marry. You are unlike him and it looks like you might be in the relationship for something different (perhaps for him being rich or coming from a wealthy family or other such).

Your reply has already reflected how in Cancer sign ascendant chart - Mars in sagittarius has given you a conflicting/ quarrelsome nature with debilitated Sun and debilitated Saturn..
Further you are passing through malefic maha dasha of Rahu followed by another malefic of Jupiter and in old age another malefic dasa of Saturn ruling obstacles.

Both charts have Kuja dosha from Moon. Boy has Mars in the 7th house from Moon while Girl has the same in the 8th house. Overall doshas from Lagna, Moon and Venus are more for the boy.
Both charts have the same Nadi. Lagna lords of both charts are mutual friends naturally but the Moon lords are not.
In Navamsa of the girl, the 7th lord Saturn is retrograde and debilitated. In Navamsa, the 7th lord is debilitated. In the boy’s chart, the 7th lord is again Saturn who is in the 10th with Jupiter. In Navamsa, the 7th lord Venus is in the 8th.
In Trimsamsa, boy has both Moon and Sun along the 1-7 axis. Girl has Moon and Rahu/Ketu along the 1-7 axis.
All these factors are not favorable for marriage apart from the simple nakshatra based Gana-koota mismatch.
In addition, both are operating the dasa of Rahu. Rahu dasa does not favor marriage for the boy directly.
Inspite of all the above marriage can occur if the marriage is a love marriage. In a pure love marriage where each is ready to sacrifice one’s pleasures for the other, matching charts becomes secondary.
