Hi,
I’m starting my M.Tech in Computer Science from a Tier 1 college this August (2025–2027). I’m seeking help in understanding how my upcoming time period will affect my academic performance, emotional well-being, social life, and career prospects.

Key chart points:

Multiple planets in the 8th house

Mars and Rahu in Cancer (both vargottama)

Mars is debilitated, combust, and vargottama

Moon (8th house lord) is exalted but conjunct Saturn

Most of my degree period will be during an 8th house Pratyantar Dasha

Currently in Saturn Antardasha – Venus Pratyantar Dasha, which turned out emotionally exhausting despite Venus being reasonably placed

I’ve noticed my chart tends to bring completely unexpected results, even beyond what I try to prepare for.
I’m particularly concerned about upcoming Mars and Rahu periods, which I’ve read can be turbulent, especially given their placements.

I'd appreciate insights on:

Academic performance during M.Tech

Likelihood of building meaningful personal/professional relationships

Job prospects after graduation

Any major themes or challenges to watch out for

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello
You seem to have good knowledge of astrology.

If you have the right knowledge, EXACT predictions can be made. Astrology is an incredible tool for guidance, and one should take note of the energies of changing dasha lords.

Hello Sujit,
Thank you for reaching out.

My father is also interested in astrology and has been practicing it as a hobby since his college days. However, he often says that he finds it difficult to make accurate predictions in my case. He believes it’s because he cannot view my chart objectively, just as a doctor may struggle to treat their own child.

I’ve always been fascinated by astrology, especially because I’m curious to understand myself better. That said, my birth chart is quite complex, with most of my planets placed in the 6th and 8th houses.

I was wondering if you could help me understand about my future and myself?

You have lot of queries in the post, so it will not be easy for me to get into discussion of the chart. As you said it correctly, the Sagittarius sign ascendant chart is challenging with planets connected to dusthana's.

Hopefully someone with more free time shall offer you a reading.

All the best.

I was wondering if you could take a look at my chart and let me know whether I’ll be able to do well in college and eventually land a good job. It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately.

Hi,

Looks like you have some knowledge and understanding of Astrology. If yes, I'd encourage you to kind spend some time to research and understand the conglomeration of planets/grahas in the 8th house of Randra-Sthana (including Rahu, 9th lord Sun/Ravi, 6th & 11th lord Venus/Shukra and 5th & 12th lord Mars/Kuja... placed in his Neecha-Sthana or sign of debilitation), that will trigger sudden changes/transformations, induce interest in occult/research. To start with, it is an indicator of strong Pitru Dosha, something that will impact multiple facets of your life.

Pitru Dosha is supposedly associated with karmic debt of one's ancestors, involving their past misdeeds, an indication of perhaps unsettled souls, or wrong actions/deeds in their lives. Please consider a quick/simple Google search, to get some understanding of Pitru Dosha. In my understanding and observation, this will affect multiple aspects of the native's life – including marriage/children, quality of and success in life, career growth/progression, accomplishments etc. So, it would make sense to consider addressing the same with appropriate Vedic/Dharmic remedial measures, on priority basis.

In my humble opinion, Rahu having below par Vimsopaka Bala in Dasha Varga and not in the best of moods is not a good sign. Further, he is chara Atma-Karaka and his time-period will be a bit trying/testing. Him being posited in the Lunar Constellation of Punarvasu Nakshatra ruled by Lagna Lord Jupiter/Guru-dev is perhaps a bit of a respite. All said and done, it might not be a bad idea for you to consider propitiating Rahu.

Sincerely...
