Need guidance and remedies for second marriage

I am here to take guidance on moving ahead in life in terms of a second marriage.
I had a short marriage of 4 months and had to go through a nasty divorce. I want to get married again and have been trying hard. I have got proposals through friends and family but somehow things work out and then abruptly end. Please guide me when second marriage looks possible.
