It would make it easier if birth-details, along with relevant background (including education, profession, the natural disaster that you allude to etc.) is provided to help set the context. It is a major turn-off, if relevant details are not provided.

Okay, thank you. I feel like I am hardworking but maybe not with the right things.

Also, praying for help has never worked for me even as a child getting abused. My mom even to this day is a predator and a criminal who deserves to be in prison but surely pretends to be a Christian, yes. That doesn't excuse years of abuse, manipulation and sabotage.
