Permanent residency

Hi i am a chef in Newzeland and i am on work visa.since i wanted to become a permanent resident here i came to Newzeland on march 22, 2016.but i have not abled to achieve permanent residency till now and i am literally very depressed with my situation right now.
I just want to know when in my horoscope is the indication of permanent residency or should i try for another country like canada where it is still a chance to get one as nz immigration is making nz residency very difficult for all the migrants.
I am single and i think would not be able to get married as i would not be considered settled till my residency.
I have bad experience in all my jobs in a way or other, since i am not a resident i cant do my own business.

And as my visa is expiring in 2021.
Is my future in foriegn country or India ??
Currently i changed my job and started a new one on 21st October but i am looking for a change again as i have to move of Auckland to get my points for residency and the job i am doing right now is paying well but its not what i want to do as it doesn't have that level of satisfaction that i had in my last job in term of my learning and career growth.
Is there change in place and when for my job ??
