Namaste learned astrologers,

I am presently working as a faculty in a private engineering university, and I am in this position for 6 years after completing my Masters in Engineering. My job requires me to do a Ph.D. degree (if ever I wish to continue in the same profession), but I have no intentions and interest as of now taking up research. Rather I am interested in changing profession and take up some other job. I am under confusion & distress,as which one to chose between two? Which one be more successful, leaving the current job & change the profession or continue (strive hard) doing the same job & take up Ph.D? I seek your valuable suggestions on this.
