It really depends on many factors. Lordship of Mars and Saturn -so the lagna/ascendant matters a lot. The bhava/house it is posited, the aspects on it, the navamsa position of mars and saturn (to see what guna it acquires eventually).
Example1:Asc is Scorpio. Mars and Sat in Aries, both in Cancer navamsa. Cancer is lagna of navasma. In Rahu-Saturn -some hair issue (Aries is head...), ok career, some debt. Rahu-Mars- excellent career, good money. Rahu is in AQ, 1970 birth. In this, Jup aspects Sat and Mars.
Never go by one rule, you'll end up making a wrong call. This is the advise Sri KN Rao gave me...so, I never accept anything usless I see the proof and reason it myself...

since this discussion is going on regarding saturn+mars combination my one of close friend has this combination in kanya lagan.he is tall and very thin and if anyone see him first time he would think that he is diseased?? he has a good circle of friends does a lott of pooja path very spiritual.he did a love marriage in oct 2007 against the wishes of his parents and inlaws now both are living separately in a flat.he was into the business of metal scrap with his brother but after marriage he has lost it .his brother and father is against his marrying other caste girl.he is very talkative but he has a habit of building castles in air and show off.now he is living with his wife and its a struggle for him w.r.t to earning

I have a chart of a close friend who has exalted Mars in 6H parivartan yoga with a debilated Sa in 9H.
As far as I can see - by nature, he is really persistent and patient - lots of stamina to fight odds in life. Life has been quite easy and smooth until recently but suddenly so many hardships - kind of a roller coaster ride. But he had been fighting valiantly and always maintains a positive outlook.
He never had any enemies initially - well liked by many - but last few yrs (may be sade sati) changed all that. He is now utterly friendless - all family, friends and even professional acquaintance deserted him. He was pushed out of job for 3 times in a row in last couple of years. But thanks to God, he is doing well for all that.
I guess a strong Mars (exalted in 6H of enemies) is the reason for overcoming difficulties. And may be a debilated Sa is the cause for his ever lasting difficulties with bosses (9H). [b]But I just cannot see how parivartan yoga affected him at all[/b].

in US and his bank balnce is more than 150 million dollors.
Intestingly His wife lagna is Dhanu , Dhanu's late half is very lucky ?
In her chart ,mars is with exalated saturn in the 11 th house libra.
Her 2nd lord saturn ,is in own and exalations houses in 10 or 11 varga charts. ( in 16 devisiona charts )
All 150 M dollors in her name in the bank. (some US doctors don't keep money in their name fearing sueing )
Nethaji Subhas Chandra Bose lagna is Aries . in the 2nd Mars and in the 8th saturn. Mutual aspect.
Any how this combination is not so desirable.

thanks for the reply. yaa he is tall and thin he is not fair he is wheatish.and his wife is 6years younger to him.right after the beginning of rahu dasha he is very tense regarding his finances because he has to start from zero but the good thing is that his wife is very simple down to earth and supports him a lott.actually the time around he got married to a girl from different caste his younger sister also did a love marriage which just lasted forone month and she got divorced now this two marriages affected his father a lott because his father comes from a conservative family. thanks again for looking at his chart. can you see light at the end of tunnel during his rahu dasha where he would be ok in his finances??

My husband has libra ascendent and Sa+Ma in 12th in Virgo.
He is very sensitive and as CRS pointed out spends a lot too. Kind of enjoys spending. But has never been in trouble or problems.
I was told by some astrologer that this yog is not so good for character of a person. How true is that.
Being in Moksha sthan does the negative effects become nullified?

Don't worry much . Saturn is Benific to Thula lagna . This saturn is KARAKA for 12 house . Then less problems. Let him enjyoy the music.

Nice to hear from you. My hubby got married at the age of 25. I have libra ascendant also and even my Saturn is in 12th in virgo but with Mercury... so I am almost a miser in spending..
Yes he is a really good nice person and has very high moral values. he is short tempered but gets cooled down very easily.

Well Sheetal I dont know the answers as to why. But about me well even though i hva Saturn in 12th I have alright pretty much in all things. as I also got gajakesari, chandra-mangal and ubhaychari in my chart... may be i m just guessing.
Start with, I have been ok acdemically, have acceptable social/financial status. Was married at 25 to a man who was settled outside the country. I moved after wedding. It was not love marriage. I dont think my wedding was delayed or anything.
But yes [b]Children thing is being delayed[/b]. May be thats where i am having problems. Now is it because of my husbands Saturn/Mars in 12th or my Saturn with mercury in12th i Dont know. May be Sivaji can throw some light.
My husband had a nice life too. His parents moved away frm his birth place when he was a toddler and has been settled abroad since then. He got married the very year he decided to. He has been economically well versed for most of his life.

You are so right about the ninth house saivaji wow... I have Rahu in ninth in gemini. I always get amazed by accurate readings of past rather than future predictions as they can be right away verified.
But i dont know about my eighth house. It has no planets and i am a novice so can not judge it by drashti and all.
