Is vargottama applicable to Rahu and Ketu too? If applicable, Can we expect good Rahu or Ketu dasha? Is there any thing special about it? Please... Senior members throw some light on it.

Of course Śarma Ji, why not?
When Nodes are in Vargottama, it means they are still continuing to be in Dharma in that Amśa. But its results are to be judged based on several factors like aspects on nodes, conjunctions with nodes & placements of nodes e.t.c.
When you meant Vargottama I've considered in D-9 w.r.t. D-1.
