Hi all,
My question is regarding education mostly, I hope I chose the right section of the forum...?
I'm 22 and about to graduate a degree that I hate (philology) which I chose because of my parents' pressure to get some education as fast as possible, no matter what. I've always wanted to go to med school and become a surgeon but in high school I started a terribly unfavorable period and because of various factors (financial problems, abuse at home, mental illness...) it wasn't possible for me to prepare myself to pass med school entry exams and even If I got in, I wouldn't have sustained myself and dropped out because of all the distress at home.
Recently things seem to be finally stabilizing and I've been having thoughts about trying to go for some other degree in 2019.
Does my chart show potential for completing higher education?
Like I mentioned, I'm drawn to medicine - especially towards surgery. Would it be a good career path for me? I've also had interest in becoming an academic teacher but events from recent years made me pessimistic about it and I'm wondering are there any blockages for higher education in my chart...
Timeline:
2014 - graduated high school
2016-2019 - philology degree
If I was to go for another degree it would be in years ~2019-24. Would it be a good period for studies?
Thank you in advance for any insights.
