Any indication of change in career direction?

My whole life until some time back I was mostly interested in math, science and tech. I'm an engineer and I work in a private firm. From sometime in 2013, 2014, I started developing interests in subjects like political science, philosophy and psychology. At first it was a mild interest and now it has become quite strong.
Is this somehow indicated in my chart? Will I do something serious with this or is it some kind of a passing fancy?
What does my chart indicate in general w.r.to career and public profile?
Any guidance would be helpful.

Leo is Trine from the sign where saturn is placed in your horoscope.

What could be happening during my Mercury mahadasha? Will there be any change? I know it's far in the future but I'm curious to know.

Moon my 10th Lord is aspected by all planets in the chart except Venus. What is the interpretation of this? Is this one of the reasons that I keep getting interested in different fields?

Since the Mercury is connected with 1,10,11 - you will do good at professional front, you will gain name, fame, success, recognition at higher level. 9-12 is also there - you may have foreign travel, relocation, or face some major positive change in your field of profession. Since Mercury dasa has 17 years span, when you will get what will also depend on the sub periods. Since, many planets are connected with 10,11 - you should get success in every field you touch, i hope.

i have answered this question above, as all most all planets are connected with 10,11.
But Horoscope has fixed planetary positions, it is transit/progression of planets when get connected with the natal planets - gives results related to different fields.

For example, your Jupiter is about 10 degrees in Gemini, it will remain there for 4 more years after birth as Jupiter take 12 years to complete a round. In the second round, it was there in the 2nd house from it from age 4-16, in the 3rd round it was in Leo from age 16-28, and in the 4th round it is there in the Virgo from age 28-40; you are now 28 , 29th running. Venus is situated there in the Virgo, therefore, you should be under influence of the Venus these years.
Take, Saturn, It is in the 14 degrees (~15 for ease) in Sag, takes 30 years to complete a cycle. 15 more years it will be there in Sagittarius and then in the Capricorn from age 15 to 45. Venus is situated in the Trine to Saturn; hence it will have influence on your work as Saturn is Karma karaka.

Like this, all planets are destined to give there results in various stages of life in various ways. So, we can not say that Moon is not connected with the Venus; afterall your Rasi lord(lord of sign where moon is situated) is Saturn which has 10th aspect on the venus. The idea of progression of planets is new to me. I'll try to learn more about it.

As you say, Venus is strongly influencing my life right now. I have developed interest in photography which is an art I guess. Venus is also my antardasha Lord right now. It being debilitated is definitely giving me some hard puzzles to solve. But I'm soldiering on.

What we do when we have an umbrella but its a huge rainy storm !!
Perhaps we won't open it, it may get damaged; isn't it !! We will desperately try to find some other support or shelter. In this way, we wise, act depending upon situation using our knowledge and experience.
When, it is very light rain, we may opt to get wet, enjoying rain.
When it is moderate then we can use our umbrella, if we are going to office, but at the time of returning to home, we may opt to not open it.
What are we doing !!
We human are highly adoptive. We understand - what is wrong and what is right.
So, i would say that, please do not depend on the astrology for each and everything happening around to you.
Just think that, you are in a competition like Master Chef and have to collect a list of items within a limited time, and cook a recipe. Sometimes, you may be able to collect all the ingredients but sometimes you may forget to collect some important ingredient, that will affect taste of your recipe - but there are always other ways to cook without that, it can result into a great innovation too - depending upon your attitude that how you act about a odd situation.
So, in the odd times, let you go with that and try to collect as much as gems you can and in the good times, follow the same strategy but keep something extra as a savings for future, for odd times. just don't give up at any stage, and odd time will pass after some time. It does not matter that you know about odds in advance using astrology. If you drive fast on a bad road - there will be chances for accident; so keep going a bit slower, but do not let you stop, do not get disappointed at any point. On the other hand, if you get smooth road, then even accident may happen if you drive so fast beyond the limits, so, in good times - never try to get oversmart, dont take huge risks, but think wisely and act accordingly. You will never need an astrologer's advice.

Thanks much for your reply. I totally agree with what you say. No one should depend on astrology to explain things. It is just really interesting for me to see that whatever that happens around me resonates with the energy of the current antardasha Lord. I try to use astrology to gain some self knowledge which is very useful. But, I'm well aware that I'm more than the sum of my planets.
