A person takes to sanyas if dispositor of moon is aspected by saturn and not by any other planet.
In my case, only saturn aspects mercury(dispositor of moon) but they are also in mutual aspect.
How well does this dictum work in general?Especially incase its a mutual aspect?I have this combination in my chart....it would be nice if someone tells me how strong is the above combo in my chart and when will it fructify.Regards.

Pravrajya yoga or Sanyasa yoga in horoscope indicates renunciation of worldly material life by the native having this yoga. This is not caused by a particular planet but peculiar planetary positions or combinations in horoscope give rise to this yoga.
Saturn is the major significator of renunciation while malefic influence of Sun, Rahu, Ketu, Saturn and 12th house lord causes detachment. When these planets influences 2nd, 7th, 4th house, and 12th house causes seperation from family, spouse, soceity and worldly pleasures. These influences are a must from the Moon. Specially Saturn influence on Moon. Ketu also give detachment.
There are many types of sanyases like yati, dandi, tridandi, ajeevaka, sakya, charak, kutichaka, nirgrantha, vivasa, vanyasan, vanaprastha, bhikshuk, naga, kapali, chakri, vriddhashravak, hansa, paramhansa. When there are 4 or more planets in a single rashi than the person becomes a sanyasi of the order of the planet which is stronger among the four. if sun is stronger in the group native becomes a tapasvi, moon makes kapali, mars one wearing red robes , mercury one becomes a dandi , jupiter a yati, venus a chakri , saturn a digambar.
Can u plz analyse my chart in relevance to the following dictum.Regards.

First of all, we should not arrive at any conclusion based upon the dictum. Had it been true, most of the persons in this world would have been Sanyasi. The good influence of Saturn will lead the person to become a Karma Yogi.
In your Chart, combination of Saturn and Ketu may cause you to be detached towards worldly achievements and you may not care much about social status or worldly gains in the time to come. But this detachment is not your path. As it appears, your path towards salvation is the one that is known as Gyan Marg. To acquire and disseminate the divine knowledge for welfare of all.
Before going ahead, it would be worthwhile to explore the following points:
1. If there is any memeber in your family or in paternal side who left the home and missing or living in isolation or the one who have severed all ties with family.
2. Any negative event pertaining to your family like leaving the home or native in hardships. Or any instance that have negatively affected social status of your family. Any dispute among the blood relatives.
3. Either there is no elder brother or if there, he has faced great hardships.

Swarnim ji,
All four standard paths require some degree of detachment towards things of impermanent nature.Gyan marg especially requires absolute and intense vairagya(dispassion/detachment).

well actually the planets that cause renunciation are Ke and Sa....and their association makes a person inclined towards asceticism.
Ke-sa conjunction is a sorta of Tapasavi yoga and you have that in your chart in the 3rd house which is the first house of the Kaam-Trikon, replacing the Kaam desires with asceticism.
ket doesn't have a drishti so Sa-ket cannot be in mutal aspect nor does ket own a clear house....so parivartana yoga is not a possible mean of assocuation between ket and Shani....
exchange of Nk between Ket and shani can create a strong tapasvi yoga ....
while drishi of shani on Ket and one being in the Nk of other are partial tatpasvi yogas
Thanks for the reply shilpa ji,but I think u got my chart wrong....saturn and ketu are conjuct in 5th hse...and venus(conjunct mars) is in trines to them. Please re-check

The following deduction can be made based upon your feedback:
1. Jupiter is weak in the chart and needs strengthening. It is the main factor behind your quest for spirituality (and not the religiousness) but is also rejects any possibility of tanking Sanyas in real life. You have to go through the cycle of Karma. (IMHO, you may take the condition of Jupiter as a Sadhu standing in a busy market place and talking about finances, investment, wealth management etc instead of Dharma)
2. Saturn is under affliction and is the main factor behind your thought towards asceticism. It will deliver the results in the time to come.
3. Mars is strong and the main factor to keep you involved in worldly affairs.
Other points: Birth in day time on Amavsya makes the Moon weaker and the main factor behind blood problem. Close placements of Mercury with the luminaries makes you a seeker of truth and the most of your Karma (including drawing of astrological inferences) will have this prime objective and here comes the role of Gyan Marg. Skin issues (Mars+Venus, Mercury+Moon), ear problems (Saturn afflicted), unconventional mode (influence of Rahu), proposed surgery (Venus under influence of Mars), Father's occupation (Jupiter is weak), Mother's occupation (Strong influence of Mars over Venus),
