combustion to natal planet by transit?

Hi,

Is it safe to presume that Sun would cause combustion as he transits through the sky past a natal planet? Or is combustion only considered when Sun transits past a physical planet in real time, either in the sky or in the natal chart itself. Thanks for your thoughts.
