can transit predict exact period of event(nearest month)?

I'm about to get promotion but unable to know the approximate time. My details are as follows-DOB- 10-12-70, TOB-10:12 AM, POB- Allahabad. I'm undergoing RAHU mahadasha and Saturn antardasha. Now Saturn will transit virgo from 9th sept. 2009 which is 6th house from moon and also saturn in my radix. seen from moon, saturn is transiting a good house but from lagna it is transiting the 9th house which is bad. Furthermore venus which is my yogkaraka would transit libra from 3rd Nov. which is 10th house from lagna and should produce good result but again from moon it would transit 7th house which is bad. What else should I look for? Plz. predict when would I get promotion?

thank u so much for your response to my query. You are quite modest in not considering urself to be an expert but i find your readings very very accurate and logical. I've read your analysis to various queries on the forum.
as regard to your reading of my chart first let me confirm what you have analysed. You are very right in saying that this SA AD was very disturbing mentally. Its period has really disturbed my mental peace. Yes I do live in my hometown dehradun. My mother however passed away 3-4 yrs ago. you are amazingly right that my RA AD in RA MD as also especially JU AD in RA AD has given me a lot in terms of work/money but was mentally very disturbing(especially the RA AD in which my first issue of my wife aborted after 2 month of pregnancy). Though after that in the RA AD only in Oct. 2004 I begot a son but it was with so many precautions and medical care that we both were completely mentally exhausted. Thereafter in JU AD in May 2006 i got a daughter. In terms of work/money in the 2nd half of both RA AD and JU AD I got very powerful postings in enforcement. But my SA AD it seems has snatched it away.
I'm specially very troubled with regard to my promotion. My DPC was to be held in Aug.-Sept. 08 thereafter it was postponed to Feb. 09 . thereafter it was postponed to Aug.-Sept. 09. But till now it has not been held by the govt. Maybe in Oct.-Nov. 09 . For that reason i had asked the query. As far as after dec. 2010 I know it will be good period till the end of my venus period in 2017 as it has always been throughout my life. Yeah I do live in a normal bit of luxury but as you know we always tend to feel that's not enough.
I had calculated that the SA transit in 6th from moon( and 9th from lagna) in virgo wud auger well for my promotion especially in Nov 3rd when Venus enters Libra. If you have seen the response of " tokenjyotishi" to my query he has said that it would be before 9th Nov. but he hasn't elaborated on it further. Wat do u suggest?
One more thing dear cjappu( plz let me know your name) how is the JU MD going to be. Should I wear a yellow sapphire in that period as some learned astr. have suggested. But at the same it is a malefic being the 3rd and 12th lord. But in actual life i have not found its period that bad. Would its period give me any sort of foreign assignment?
now some points with regard to my planetary positions. plz rectify where i'm wrong.
SA is neech but ret. at the same time its neechbhanga b'coz it's depositer Mars is in kendra in the exaltation rashi of SA. also SA directly aspect its exaltation sign which is in the 10th house and forms yoga with its lord VE. In Navamsa also it is the lord of 9th and 10th house posited in 7th house which is considered as the most appropriate house for positioning of SA. In Dasamsa also it is in the 10th house though in both in scorpio( but then MA causes it's neechbhanga).But in actual life its true that I've not found SA AD very productive but at the same time it has been never been very bad for me.
But the most imp. planets are VE and ME (5th 10th , 9th and 6th lords) which are excellently placed in rashi & navamsa . The position of VE is self evident whereas ME being 9th lord and 6th lord is placed in 12th house forming vipreet rajayoga and it fully aspects its own house(6th, the house of service). Further it is 9th from arudh lagna. In navamsa it is in kendra in friendly sign in yoga with sun(mutual aspect). In dasamsa also VE being the lord of 4th and 9th house is exalted. In actual life also their sub-periods have been the best for me.
The rest of planets Su, Mo, Ra, Ke, Ma are also evenly placed not in bad positions. Ju is also well placed in 10th house relieving many doshas by virtue of its aspects on rahu, moon, sat.
Sir the most impo. planets I suppose are the lagnesh, 5th , 9th and 10th lords and they are very well placed but in actual life I've not achieved much. I've found some of my batchmates' charts that were not so good compared to mine have become IAS and IPS whereas i had to suffice with State Revenue services. you must be having the idea that IAS and IPS are the first stepping stones to later becoming Governors, Chairmans, high profile MDs in the World Bank, Asian devep. Bank, Ambassadors etc. etc. whereas I, if my life goes on like this,would someday retire as some joint/ addl. commissioner of some range. Sir, sometimes its really very very frustating when I meet my friends. Dear cjappu would there be any change in my life in the period of JU MD which is the only last hope because VE or ME MD is never going to come in my life.
I know my letter has has become too long but pls read it when you have time. I would be eagerly waiting for your response.

DPC is Departmental Promotion Committee. In every department of india and every State of India promotions of officers are done by a committee of senior members/officials which include the Head of Department, the Secretary of Ministry and two other very senior officials. This committee meets on a specified decided date and peruse the career record of the officers who are to be promoted and finally decide the names of officers who would be promoted.
One more thing I wish to add to my previous mail is the reason why I asked bout how the MD of JU in 2021 is going to be is because in this forum only in the archive section of Vaughn Paul in the article" Barack Obama's bold and radical sign" it is given that he became the President of US in the MD of JU and AD of Moon. His Asc. and mine Asc. are same-Capricorn. His JU as well as mine JU are both 3rd and 12th lord-the difference being that his JU is placed in Lagna whereas mine one is in the 10th house. Can a 3rd and 12th house lord auger Rajyog of such stature.?

I forgot to confirm your one more prediction-"...acquired house/ property or some fixed asset in SA dasha ". well in the JU AD i purchased a big luxury car and again in the SA AD I purchased one more small car in July 2008. With regard to property also in the SA AD from Feb '08 till March '09 I invested a big amount in renovation and alteration/beautification of my existing father's house where I'm living at present.

I would definitely let you know whatever happens. You 've rightly said that SA does give but takes away the joy and satisfaction associated with possession. I've experienced this in my father's life/career who got a very high posting as First Secretary at the Indian High Commission, London U.K. in SA MD( his is Taurus Asc. with SA as the lord of 9th and 10th being posited in lagna) but somehow neither he nor the entire family of ours could enjoy it fully due to continuous tussle with his head of depatment and other family problems.
Let me also tell you that promotion is always associated with transfer so if I'm promoted my transfer is inevitable. Maybe my new station would far off or be bad or my posting/charge would be insignificant or any other such kind of thing. But do you think that at least it would be only for a year till the beginning of my ME AD in Dec.2010 because in my entire life the subperiods of ME and VE have been the best. But the most important thing is that I must get the Promotion. After that I'm ready to face the circumstances.Further now it seems anything either +ve or -ve would happen only in my Moon sub sub period . Anything happening till 6th oct. is out of question
