12th/7th/9th?Which houses/lords represent foreign residence?

I have often seen astrologers use 9th house for foreign travel and 12th house for foreign residence and settlement.
However, recently, an astrologer told me that the 7th house is equally important when looking at connections with ascendant and 4th house for foreign residence.
Which houses/lords are most relevant for foreign residence or travel?

Houses 7th/9th/12th and even 8th only represent foreign travel. For Permanent foreign residence 4L must be connected to the 12H preferably by occupation. Furthermore, the 4H must fall in a movable sign. Ascendant lord must also be posted in a movable sign in any of these houses. Rahu and ketu represent foreigners, their position needs to be analyzed too.

a lot of foreign settlement or long term stays are related to assocciations between:

--9th Lord
--12th lord
--Moon
--Rahu

so various combinations of the above could be Ra or Moon in 9th or 12th would signify foreign stays

Ra and moon associations throuhg conjunction or mutual association or mutual kendra

and the surest sign of permanent foreign settlement is conjunction or association of 9-12 lords

further I recollect......sun in the 12th is a very high chance of a long , unfruitful and troublesome foreign stay.

and Rahu when in the 12th may in addition to a foreign stay....give the native a foreign spouse / partner

7th is the house more of foreign partnerships and foreign connections...than settlement or long term foreign stay.

this may give you a foreign collaboration partner if in business .....or you may work on a project in a foreign country in your job ( while living in your own country).

Is the signification of 4th lord and 12th house/lord conjunction or association as strong as the 9th and 12th ?
Also say the 4th and 9th lord is in the 12th house but the 12th lord is in say, a kendra or a trine? does that hinder the foreign possibility?

I have lagna lord & 4th lord mercury with rahu but in 11th house in Aries
Ra/Me to commence soon.

12th lord Venus in 12th house but Venus MD starts when my age will be 100 years

Are there any chances of short term travel. 2-3 years in Ra/Me ?

• Lagna lord (venus) in 12th house

Dear Shilpa,
I have 12th lord Jupiter in 9th house and I've been staying outside my country for the past 12 years during my Jupiter dasha.So I think 9th and 12th lord association works with long stays but not settlement.My next dasha would be of Saturn starting in 2018 so probably that will take me back to my country.My 7th lord Venus is in 4th house as well.

Amongst combinations offered by Shilpa Ma'am I got only 1. That's moon in 9th. Moon MD coming up next year.
If I detach from my present and look at the scheme of the events, somehow, I can sense impending departure from my home land. My situations, those unconscious tiny steps I'm taking day by day are propellants towards moving out. Seems as if a plan in play is being forced upon me without my conscious consent!
And 12th lord does not aspect 9th lord but is in Kendra from 9th Moon.
