Astrology is an anga of Vedanta. I am quoting from a book written by Sankara Dikshitar's, left abode, studied Vedanta and Dharma Sastras. He was associated with now His Holiness Jagadguru Maha-Sannidhanam's Guru's Guru of Sringeri, Sri Chandrasekhara Bharati Mahaswami.
In Katho-Upanishad, Lord of Death, Yama expresses surprise at the tenacity of young Nachiketas to seek the knowledge,
Dhurmethe viparethe vishruchee aveecha ya cha vidyetee nyatah
Vidyabheshannu nachiketasam manye naah twa kama bhavhololuhupantah
Wide apart and leading to different ends are these two, ignorant and what is known as Knowledge. Most people in the world are desirous of pursuing the path of ignorance, but Nachiketas, you are the one who desire knowledge, and many pleasures tempt you away, I am amazed by your single-mindedness.
Further, Yama says
Shreyasva preyatcha manushyameta astoh sampareetya viveenaktee dheerah
Shreyo ehee dheero ka bhepreyatchoh vreeneteh mandho yogashemathu vreeneteh a
Two options to human beings, short-term physical pleasure as well as long-term eternal bliss present themselves to a man. A wise man examines them well and Researches. He prefer the eternal to the temporary pleasantness, but one who doesn't Researches and viveka choses the short-term out of greed and avarice.
Tangible or Measure of Ananda
Taittriya Upanishad provides an assessment of this eternal bliss,
Yuva syathu sadhuyuvah dyaahyakah
Suppose there is a young man in the prime of life, good, learned, most expeditious, most energetic and enthusiastic. Suppose there lies earth filled with wealth completely for him. This manushyananda will be one unit of measurement for the estimation of his bliss. If this human joy be multiplied by 100 times, it is one unit of joy of Gandharvas. If this Gandharvas is multiplied by 100 times, it is joy of Divine Gandharvas or Deva Gandharvas Ananda. If deva-gandharva joy multiplied by 100 times, it is one joy of Our Sages whose world is everlasting.

I quote a Puranic story, Even Great Veda Vyasar couldn't able to predict nor no one can escape from Destiny, it is prewritten like Nadi leaves, up above in the Heaven's of Yama Dharmaraja's courtroom, vetted by His assist Chitragupt
Veda Vyasar, taught Vedas to his students, after students learnt Vedas from teacher, Guru Dakshina has to be offered. One of the Brilliant student came to Veda Vyasar Sage, Veda Vyasar liked him because of he was extraordinarily brilliant, and inquired what kind of Guru Dakshina, Sage expects from him.
Veda Vyasar said, I don't want any Dakshina from you, since he was Brilliant. But student said, he wants to offer Dakshina, Veda Vyasar remarked, no He doesn't want anything but in return He can offer a Boon to his student. Sage asked student, what Boon he expects from teacher. Student requested Sage, if he asks a Boon, don't say No to this Boon. Sage requested student to ask for a Boon from him.
Student's Boon from Sage was, when the student will depart or will have Moksha. Sage got freightened, since He already promised for student, He told him He doesn't know, lets go to Brahmalok, to hear from Lord Brahma, as He is the Creator.
When Veda Vyasar and student came to Brahmalok, Sage put forwarded student's query to Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma said, He is only the Creator, He will not know about the Death. Lets move to Vaikunt to see Lord Vishnu to seek the answer.
Three of them approached Vaikundam, and met Lord Vishnu and put forwarded the query and requested for the answer. Lord Vishnu told them, He is for Safeguarding and protection, Death is not in my scope of work, lets move to Kailash and seek answers from Lord Parameshwara
Four of them approached Kailash and met Lord Siva and put forwarded their query to Supreme Lord. Supreme Lord told them, you all arrived at the right place and He is for Destroy, but the person handles this job is Yama. So you all have to go to Yama's Durbar
Lord Yama received them and said Chitragupt handles Debit/ Credits of Karmas and He is my key scruitiny in Auditing, we have to reach out to Chitragupt
Five of them approached Chitragupt and enquired about student's query. ChitraGupt enquired with Yama, and said such revealing is against Dharma, as Lord Yama is responsible for Dharma, Lord Yama, Since request has come from Supreme God, as a Special case, we have to approve.
From list of leaves inside Yama's Court, Chitragupt retrieved a bunch of leaves titled student's name.
Chitragupt removed Longeivity leaf of Sage's student, and started reading out, Student's name......, teacher ...Veda Vyasar, when comes to inquire his longeivity along with his teacher, that time his life will end.
It is apparent, at the time of foetus inside one's mother ,everything is Destined. No one can override Destiny. Only Supreme God wishes can do that.
Many Pariharams or remedies would be recommended, but again that is Prewritten, like when Dasa lord of 5th or 9th or dasa lord 11th, dasa lord of 10th ( for Pilgrimage), dasa would be operating in one's chart.
