Dear Sujit-jee and the OP,

This chart has Mars with an incredible 20 Vimsopaka Bala, firing at a Shadbala of 220%... that is simply extraordinary do you agree? Four planets Su, Ma, Ju and Sa have Ishta phala of 45+ out of 60, even Moon is OK with 31. Sun exalted and Mars is Mooltrikona, sitting in his own 1st house of Aries, which in her chart is the 3rd house (Upachaya).

I would imagine that her Mars MD would have been fantastic, so also the Sun MD prior to it. Why so much difficulty now in Rahu? Shouldn't the Mars MD launch her career into orbit and maintain it there?? What am I missing?

Ishita, can you pls. comment on your experiences during Mars MD from 1992-99? You couldn't have been working so the time during school/college must have been super-charged? Please provide some details if you can. TIA....

Hi Ishita -

The Martian aggressive tendencies are very evident from your write-up, but its all OK in childhood! Your query pertains to your job but have you considered getting into business? Maybe with a partner, family, hubby (not sure you're married or not). Since your 7th lord Sun is strong and resides with Mars in 3rd...

Think about it. You have pioneering examples of Indian entrepreneurs e.g. the Infosys founders in IT. and the Biocon woman, Majumdar-Shaw (i forget her first name) in Biotech. They are great examples, even if larger-than-life. India has a thriving landscape of small biz and homespun (cottage industry) enterprises that actually serve as a catalyst and driving force of change in that country.

In Kaliyuga, the true definition of Karma has changed. karma (at least IMO) doesn't mean just doing good deeds, pujas and being pious all the time. Nope. Creating jobs, providing livelihood to others, generating lots of "social capital" is the order of the day. Basically amounts to serving others, helping them out and also, creating a long-term foundation for society (YOUR legacy, for which YOU will be remembered and thanked). That is true karma today.

Working in a job is the start of a career for most folks, but we're living in post-industrial age. The world needs people that can think out of the box, esp. when it comes to businesses of tomorrow. And if they can create an environmentally sustainable venture, that is icing on the cake. Unlike China, US and other industrialized nations, Indian political and business leaders hardly ever think about employment as a core national issue... about time they got started!

I know this is a different train of thought, but just wanted to float a trial balloon.
