Palghat Kerala..

I have always felt like probing more into sakata yoga since most of the descriptions this yoga indicate seem to fit into my current situation perfectly. I have sakata in rasi (6/8). Moon in kendra supposedly cancels this lagna.

However, today I noticed that sakata-like situation is present in navamsa as well since jupiter and moon are in 2/12. Sakata may not be considered in navamsa but 2/12 positioning doesn't look good even though moon is exalted and with ketu and jupiter is involved in parivartan with mars.

I read an article which suggested that sakata may not be apparent if it is not repeated in navamsa since greats like Shivaji, pandit nehru, raj kapoor, dev anand etc had sakata in rashi(not in navamsa probably). The article said ff navamsa tells a different story with the placement of Jupiter & Moon then even Gajkesari could give negative results and sakata can be good as well (if navamsa positions are better).

However, in my case I see that rashi and navamsa both have sakata. It seems their is some mystery or reason behind this because other than this the houses are fine.

Another question I have is if any software out there could show all the yogas in navamsa just like it is shown in Rashi.. (seems unlikely, but still asking)

Thanks.

I don't know much on Sakata yoga besides what I'm sure you know and what is online or in popular books like raman's 300 important yogas that can be found online too, but I had to reply to let you know that Jhora can show yogas for Navamsa (or any other divisional chart)
just go to the strength tab where you can see the list of yogas,
right click in the area where yogas are listed, then select the "select a varga" option (first on the list), from there pick which chart you want the yoga list from.

I'd also like to add there are many celebrities with Sakata in both Rasi and Navamsa and they seem to be doing fine (or at least are doing very well professionally/income-wise).
Leonardo Dicaprio (November 11, 1974, 2:47, Los Angelos California, USA) * has moon in kendra...though some sites use the birth time earlier so moon is in his 2nd house...)
actor Edward Norton (August 18, 1969, 14:05, Boston Massachusetts, USA)
Al Pacino (not full sakata in navamsa..but moon/jup are 2/12..) - (April 25,1940, 11:02m manhattan, new york, USA)
wealthy "best of all time" canadian hockey player Wayne Gretzkey (Jan 26, 1961, 7:45, Brantford, Canada)
SRK (based on the birthtime everyone uses) - Nov 2, 2:30, New Dheli, India (though moon/jup are in own sign in d9)

I've seen more, but thats all I had on file easy to get right now.

GNE,

Thanks a lot. That was really informative. I couldn't find any charts online regarding Sakata in both Rasi and Navamsa. It is said that Sakata doesn't affect any other yogas present in the chart. But ups and downs will be there and native will have a sense of dissatisfaction. Leonardo, taking a case above, has been losing out on the Oscars for some time now. Perhaps it could be explained with Sakata. Cannot comment on others as I don't know about the problems SRK, Al Pacino etc may have faced. But it appears that Sakata could be a bit like KSY - giving either good heights/riches or an improverished life.. (assuming there are no other negative/positive yogas in chart which could be the real cause).

Will download and check JHora today itself. That was very helpful information as well.

You're welcome, and yeah I agree it probably just brings some ups and downs as far as success that the native wants to achieve goes. (I mean like dicaprio perhaps...where even loosing oscars, he's still highly successful compared to most people. but perhaps to him he feels some frustration and lack of satisfaction).

Also I guess one should not worry much about sakata in both rasi/navamsa if there are other good yogas at play (or if they are not in a moon / jupiter dasha...thus sakata won't get activated as much, or at all).

Dicaprio has been in his Jupiter dasha though, since 2002.

Enjoy Jhora.

GNE,

Could you please tell me how to see Pushkaramsha planets in JHora? Which section is it in?

Thanks.

hey,
You just go right-click in the window of the 'basic info' , the one where you see all the planets+ their degrees listed (should be the default one).
then in the menu that comes up after right-clicking, scroll down and select to ' view planets in pushkaramsa / bhagya. '

Hope that helps
