Rahu / Gomedh and etc.

Could learned members here confirm for sure that Rahu is a benefic planet for me?. I have been asked to wear Gomedh in Middle finger and the astrologer told me that Rahu is my savior planet and that I should wear Gomed life long, while another astrologer telling me just the opposite (to take it out and wear Blue sapphire). Both the astrologer are traditional astrologer practitioner.

BTW, later part of rahu dasha was one of my better period overall (Rahu MD - with Ve/Su/Mo/Ma). Also, note that Ra is in my 8th house (in the house of lagna lord Ve) along with Moon and Jupiter.

Your quick reply are really appreciated. And, if you could comment on my Sa/Sa MD - so far worse, next is Sa/Me - how is it going to be? Thank you all and regards.
