Hi All,
Is it true that people with moon mahadasha have a tough time getting married in those ten years?
Why is moon mahadasha not considered beneficial most of the time?

Hi
I am running Moon mahadasha. Agreed its not best of times as is in my case on work front . 10th Lord Moon is in its debilitation sign which is probably the reason . Projects are shortlived and dont give desired results .
Let other learned astrologers comment .

pridif,
lagna lord Moon placed in 6th house is not a good thing. 6th,8th,12th houses are evil houses. Planets do not give good results here.

D9 does contribute and has to be seen before coming to a conclusion. I am into Moon MD, moon in moola nk with ket (psha) in 5th and exalted in the navamsha. Its good in certain aspects and not that good in other aspects. Overall its not bad/ tough/negative one for me

What if in D9 Same ascendant exalted in 11th house Taurus? Do D9 contribute its part? Because we should analyze the D9 chart as well to see the intensity of the dasa.
Rasi chart gives the result on its planetary basis . Navamsa chart or any other divisional charts modifies the result to some extent. It cannot totally reverse the results of rasi chart.
In your case the negative results of Moon in 6th house may be reduced to some extent but cannot be nullified in total.
In my opinion after seeing many charts i can say that negative effects of rasi chart will be felt no matter how strong other divisional charts be.....It will give the result of rasi chart.

Here is a chart where Lagna Lord is in Neecha in Rasi, but exalted in Navamsa.

Its her Lagna lord that is neecha in rasi.
Just look at her physique...and the titles she won. Does she look debilitated?

Chandra Lagna Ji, thanks for the chart. In bhava chart mars moves to 5th house and there is no debilitation.

Dear karthik.
Mars remains in cancer, one can leave the bhavas aside for now. It remains in its Neecha rasi. That cannot change.
Bhavas merely change the house definition, not the fact of neecha/uccha.

Chandra Lagna Ji, i have high regards to your opinion.
But author and astrologer B.V.Raman in one of his books mentions that changes in divisional chart alters the effectiveness of the chart but cannot be reversed totally.

Chandra Lagna Ji, According to B.V.Raman...........The conditions of the navamsha chart can either promote or offset the indications of the natal chart, therefore, it should always be looked at before drawing the conclusion of whether the results promised by the natal chart will manifest in your life.
All other divisional charts only supplement the birth chart.
though, that the navamsha and other sub divisions do not go so far as to jump up and contradict indications in the main chart. Rather, they are secondary, helpful for making decisions on the margin. Dr. B.V. Raman confirms this in a purport of the classic Prashna Marg,
