Hi,

I know this is sort of a silly question, but I wanted to ask anyways.

I have my sun at 28.47 degrees in Taurus, and an article online i was reading suggested ... If a planet is at such late degrees then i can be taken as if it has moved to the next house, which would be Gemini ?

Can someone shed some light on this ? I really appreciate your help.

This is not a silly question at all. From what I've seen - if there is a friendly planet in the succeeding house then its quite possible the planet near zodiacal boundary gets attracted to it through the semi-sextile aspect, it also depends on many other factors such as retrogression and transits. And because chitrapaksha ayanamsa can't be trusted to give that much accuracy over planetary positions, based on my own research I've come to the conclusion that planets are always a little behind compared to their positions from chitrapaksha, so you must consider your Sun to be around 27 degrees.
