Respected astrologers,

I understand that we need to see the Dwadasamsha chart in order to ascertain the relationship of the child with his mother/father.
My question is that in D-12 chart should we be looking at Position of 4th/9th lord/Lagna Lord OR position of Moon/Sun in order to see the type of relationship the kid will have with his parents ? What takes precedence ?

Thanks,
uspa

D-12 is one of the divisions of natal chart.
We may ascertain putra karaka from natal chart
then study D-12

Similar yardstick be adopted to 5th house/lord.
In case of female 9th house/lord.

Sun in a fiery sign in the ascendent may deprive the native of a child.
Yes,strong influence of 5th house /9th house to the fiery planet,e.g. sun ,mars may fructify adoption.
Such a native may try to compensate the same by seeking adopted child.

Thanks Ann,your queries serve to refresh.

Adoption is usually marked by an effective ninth lord

Mars is the basic karaka as mars denotes replacement or desire

Rahu may also play a role in the event a person finds parents from a different culture or beliefs.

Yes,it may indicate
5th is the house of father's property
Mars occupation and 9th lord aspect
strogly suggest that.

5th is the basic house of grandfather.
Jupiter is the karaka,
A retrograde Jupiter indicates losses or gains as destiny, that is, on account of previous birth.

Jupiter indicates losses in respect of the house occupied (isolated effect, subject to other factors).
e.g. 12th Jupiter does not give money to spend.
