Astrology reading for a child below 12 years

Hi Learned members

It's generally stated that a reading of hororscope should not be done for those below 12 years due to the karma of the parents and the native. I can relate to the parents karma however for the native should it not be possible to do a reading from 8 years onwards as the hororscope is entirely of the native? I would appreciate your views on this.

I was told by an astrologer that so many things can influence the child's chart and for this reason and others, in childhood we cannot predict much because horoscope of child is dependent upon planetary effect of surroundings. I also wonder how much “nature versus nurture” can affect a child destiny (or what is written in their astrological chart).
