If Asc is 29' Leo - 0' Virgo, do you have combined traits

If the Ascendant determines your personality, does being in the middle of Leo and Virgo make you have both traits?

I'm in the middle of determining my Ascendant because though my time is recorded on the birth certificate, I recently saw a guru who said I was Virgo rather than Leo.

But both of his readings seemed to make sense dasha-wise, so now I'm wondering if Vedic astrology even real, or if it allow 'blending.' I can't completely identify with Virgo ascendant, but I can't with Leo either. I am more technical and calculated like a Virgo would be but there's no way I'm the "admin assistant of the zodiac." (how I've heard Virgos described)

classic vedic astrology uses whole sign house system. so - if your ascendant is 29*30" leo - your lagna is simba/leo. all planets in leo sigh fall in your 1st house. all yogas and aspects are counted this way.

there are some newer schools in vedic astrology like KP vedic astrology - using different house cups systems like placidus. but they use different rules for yogas and aspects.

and finally - if you doubt about your lagna sign - you should/could ask a professional astrologer to make you a birth time rectification. Or - learn how to make it yourself
