Art of Prediction

Dear Members,
I am just a novice in the field of astrology, trying to learn the art of prediction. I have been reading several articles, texts on the techniques to predict after analysing a horoscope. I have stuck with the problem about the weightage that needs to be given to different attributes in a prediction. I shall like to explain my problem from an example,
Suppose, a native is born with a libra ascendant with moon in the 10th house, jupiter in 8th, and saturn in 1st house. Now, if I want to predict about his mother, there are many houses that I could go into
1) 4th house from lagna.
2) 4th house from moon, which becomes to be the 1st house.
3) Using bhavat bhavam, 4th from 4th...7th house of the chart
4) Using the concept of nakshatras, the lord of 4th house saturn is in Vishaka Nak, whose lord is Jupiter, placed in 8th house
5) Also , jupiter is lord of two houses, i.e 3rd and 6th house in the chart.
So in a way 6 houses are directly/indirectly related to mother or any prediction related to her. The number can go up, if I start considering thee effect of house where the depositor saturn is placed in the chart or the moon itself placed in 10th house.
So, I request all the members to please consider the query and clarify the weightage that should be given to each concept of planets, nakshatras, depositors etc...
Also, I would like to mention that I haven't considered any divisionals yet. If I do so, the analysis extends to many other houses and planets and that too just for prediction related to one aspect of chart.
The reasons I am asking this question is that it is easy to do a postmartem report on a chart after you know all the events in a person's life and associate it with any of the particular house and planet. But when we have to predict, there should be some rule to it.
