Can we fix the birthtime of a child?

For the first time, in my almost 3 years of astrology, someone close to me coaxed me out of comfort zone into fixing the time of his next child. This stream of astrology is something that I always avoided for an unknown fear, maybe, blaming me for all the mess later on.

I received a call from him, yesterday and told me that his wife had been admitted in the hospital. So what, I asked him. Reminding me of great deal of help that he did for me, I hesistately decided to jump into the fire and told him to tell me the exact day when the delivery would be done. He told me that anytime on 6th May, 2012. Ok, I told him I would call after sometime. I opened the kundli software in my mobile and looked at every lagna on 6th May.

He had told me that doctor had said anytime in the morning after 5am. I casted the horoscope for the time given and stunned to see many planets in 12th house. I became worried and searched for appropiate words to tell him.

However, in the meanwhile, a thought then struck my mind. Since career is the topmost concern of every parent, i searched for alternative lagna and found cancer lagna to be good, I found the time between 11.30am to 12.30pm to be good as far as career is concerned.

I called him and told him that the doctor's time early in the morning was not advisable and that the time between 9 am to 12.30pm was advisable and i further narrowed it down to between 11.30am to 12.30 pm. I then asked him to call me early in the morning and tell the doctor's suggestion.

Since his wife had earlier given normal delivery, I was expecting operation this time due to ketu's pratyantar and mercury as 5th Lord in 8th house. However, I had known this girl to be a very brave one and something always told me that it would be a normal delivery.

Today, i received a call from him that the delivery had been postponed but was not told when. However, I told him that it would happen today and most likely it would happen at the time given by me. To cheer him up, I told him today was the day his wish for a complete family i.e. his wish for a daughter would be fulfilled.

Around 10 o'clock, he told me that how's the time after 12. 30pm? I asked him what the doctor had said. He told me in the next 2-3 hours. I told him promptly by 12. 30 pm and if not by then, after 13.30pm at any cost. He then hung up the phone immediately.

I kept looking at my mobile, keeping my fingers crossed. The chart of his wife shows she would have talented children and the friend's chart promised the same. So I believed that cancer lagna had to be accurate. Anyway, I forgot and got myself busied in playing games.

Around 1 pm, my cell started beeping. I felt it must be him and I looked at my watch, i thought, i missed the deadline. Anyway, I answered the phone. He thanked me in a gentle tone, was blessed with a baby girl and the birth time, though alightly off the mark, turned out to be correct. The lagna was fixed at cancer.

I was stunned. Stunned in the sense, as I was brought up with the belief that we have no right in "forcing" or fixing the time birth and it is purely's God will.

However, what happened today, I think we can atleast fix the approximate time for lagna i.e. lagna changes every 2 hours. It is better to try to born with planets in good houses rather than with dusthana's houses.

Now for the final post on this thread, the birth time choosen proved to be a blessings to a father. He received some good news. This shows why sometimes, success to a parent sometimes linked to a birth of a child.
