Dear Learned Members,

Is there any special significance when one has exalted and Vargottama Rahu and Ketu.
Rahu and Ketu in Taurus and Scorpio respectively.

Their AD's thus far have always produced dramatic changes.

Rahu on the outside (made my life faster/smoother and more exciting in his AD-almost everything for the good materially), and Ketu created transformations primarily within myself (increased my sense of detachment enormously during his AD-did not affect me on the material plane though).

(This thread is of course assuming that we take Taurus and Scorpio respectively as their exaltation houses.)

btw, Rahu also happens to be in his Pushkar Navamsa. Its dispositor Venus is very good in the chart overall.

Lagna, Moon (both by their nakshatra placement) and Lagna lord are all associated with Ketu :!: I found this out myself only very recently.

Though classics wrote Rahu in 2H gives a habit of lying but I've not found that it true in many cases or you can say the person himself/herself know it better.

It is said that Rahu & Ketu gives results as per their dispositors which seems true in ur case. Rahu's dispositor Ven is in 11H of material gains. You've also mentioned Rahu has always given u gains. Further Rahu is aspected by LL Mars hence it'll giev gud results. Ketu on the other hand is posited with 8L (Also LL) Mars in 8H hence it must induce in you a sens eof detachment as well as interest in occult sciences. In D-9 Ketu is in 5H, hence it may make u to go for Mantra sadhna anytime in ur life.

One of my observation is that malefics in 8H give spiles problems, Herte Mars & Ketu are in 8H, hence to me it seems must. However this wud have happened/may happen in AD/PD of Mars or Ketu.

Your present dasha is Sun-Ven-Ven
Sun is 5L posited in 12H (education in far away place)
Ven is 12L posited in 11H of gains
Since both dasha lords are connected to 12H this may give u results related to 12H (foreign travel, expenditures, also hospitalization & confinement).

One other info: Whenever any malefic transits thru 8th house from Sun/Mooon or Lagna on their deg, it always gives bad results. In ur case around Nov 7, 2012 Sat will transit from 8th house of Sun on the deg of Sun i.e. 9-52. At this time Sun in transit will also be on natal Sat on almost same deg. This time generally results in problem to father, tensions/misunderstandings with authorities. Plz take care.

Dear Dr Neeraj,

Thank you for your kind response to my post.

I have had issues with gout (during Venus-Me-ke) and also with sudden inflammations (Sun-Me-Mars). But no major problems thus far by God's Grace. The aggravations of this allergy would go away after 1-2 weeks of intense pain. Happened only once or twice so far in my life. Thank you for the warning though-I will try to be extra careful around Nov 7th.

Sun MD did give me higher education abroad during Su-Mo and Su-Mars and a part of Su-Rahu.

I do not consider myself a liar (in fact, I am firmly against lying even for business purposes). But people have mentioned that I have a unique voice while speaking. Special interest in occult sciences is definitely there. But so far no intense Mantra Sadhana. But I guess this could happen in the upcoming Moon MD.

Neeraj-Ji,

Forgot to add- Do you consider Rahu to be in parivarthana with Venus in this case?

Also, my life started with Ketu MD-it is said that when a person's life starts with MD of 8th lord or planet in 8th house (both in this case since Ketu is co-ruler of scorpio), he will be born to a family with limited means-also very true in my case.

Classics mention Mars Ketu conjunction for incendiary & inflammations. I'm amazed how true they are :-)
I dnt believe in rashi parivartan of Rahu/Ketu & anyone.

I would let Dr Neeraj answer your question in detail.

But as far as I know, Mars+Ketu would generate intense heat + energy (esp in my case in Scorpio which is already an intense passionate sign and my 8th house) - this can play out either Internally (person can have intense passions, urges of mind, body, soul), or Externally. This external manifestation can be on your body (inflammations, red swellings, gout etc), or in the actual physical external world just around you (fire, gas explosions etc). How it plays out in each person's life could be different. Looking at the entire chart would be better in any case.

Dear Neeraj,

Your mention about Rahu in 2nd and lies motivated me to learn more about this placement. This inturn led me to the topic called "Vak-Siddhi". I have to thank you for encouraging me to learn more :)

The famous Astrologer of 20th Century, B.V. Raman also had this placement of Rahu in 2nd, but he was reknowned for his Truth. Of course the Jupiter aspect was pivotal there.

Hi Dr. Neeraj and Astrokid,

What will be the effect of exalted nodes in AL/UL. I had exalted rahu in 9th house which is also my AL and Ketu in 3rd house/ UL (UL lord placed in 2nd house). Also, can you please tell me what will be the effect of AL/UL placed in 1/7 axsis.

Dear Ann,

You are running Mercury-Mars from 2011 March to 2012 March. Mutual Exchange of 5th and 12th lords in Rasi chart. This has potential to cause losses to children, speculation etc. But it can give you spiritual knowledge and some remote sense of wandering. Moreover Mercury is your Atmakaraka involved in this mutual exchange-very good for spiritual enlightenment and related pursuits in general. Me (having gained a very high degree) is also placed with Lagna lord in 12th house-again indicates this "dissolution of self" very strongly.

Ketu in 5th with 12th lord Mars (in your atmakaraka Mercury's Rasi) and Ketu again placed in navamsa of Mars amplifies all of the above.

Please note that one will also have to look at various divisional charts to confirm the spiritual progress-that analysis will be elaborate and most often requires exact birth times.

Looking at just the D-1 and the above mentioned factors, indicates a fairly evolved soul on the spiritual path :) How has your experience been Ann, esp in this Mercury-Mars period?
