Dear Astrologers,
Birth time rectification is mostly required where we oserve a change in the ascendent by a few mins. But what should we say about the charts where on change in time the birth chart remains the same but the dasha starting changes, which in turn affects the nakshtra of the rashi, thereby changing teh nadi and gana of the horoscope ? How shud we tackle such charts ?
Birth Time Rectification where only Dasha changes

Sir, I am only a beginner in astrology. But I can try to answer your query on birth time rectification.
This is a methodology suggested by Pt. Sanjay Rath.
(a) Look for D-3. It is one of the broad chart (broader than D-1) as here we consider 10 degrees as 1 drekkan. So there are only 3 possible contenders for the Lagna of D-3. Match it with number of siblings. In initial years of life, if native has siblings, then there must be dasha of planets in PAC with 3rd House. This should be repeated in lagna and 3rd House of D-3.
(b) Once D-3 is ascertained, then look for D-9 as every drekkan contains 3 navamsa. So again 3 contenders are there for lagna of D-9. Determine the lagna of D-9 after considering the effects of each of the three contenders for the lagna of D-9. Placement of planets in houses is also important and should be correlated with dasha and the results native obtained in it.
(c) Once D-9 is ascertained, next step is to finalise D-7 which is more subtle chart. For this, the native must have kids.
(d) Finally, match the Maha dasha/Antar dasha/Pratyantar dasha with the important events already happened in the native's life.
