Hi ! My relative has not been keeping well and has undergone chemo/radiation/surgery. Just wanted to check if could pull this off successfully and what can be done to aid his successful recovery.

Sorry for the delay in my reply. No pre-existing symptoms as such, the only symptoms the doctors could co-relate was his sudden forgetfulness during exams.

The diagnosis was sudden and shock to the family. Just few months before his diagnosis he had lost his mother .

Hi Shilpa,

He did have GBM ( a type of brain cancer) wherein the survival is very rate is very low. He was operated last year in july and after which he had taken radiation and chemo.

He has successfully managed to get through one year...we are hoping for complete recovery in his august scan.

--Rahu is the chief culprit here.

--He was running Ra-Ra period until Feb 2011.....and at the same time Ra was transitting over The first house......where Gulika is conjunct with the Asc. It is during that time when he probably developed cancer.
First house rules brain.



--There are no written rules for cancer, but i have found association between any two of Mars, Shani and Rahu, when the are terribly Malefic, hit by the combination of the dasa and transitory triggers and 6/12 associations..... at the same time.....to be often times the common link in many cancer cases i have seen recently.

--here rahu is in Mars's Nk, shani is aspecting, the first house.....so all 3 are having foot prints on the 1st house.

Further Gulika conjunction within lagna and....transit if a malefic over them satifies the conditions when gulika is at it's terrible worst (see conditions of gulika in the link above)......Gk is adding fuel to fire.

-Fortunately neither of the 3 malefics is a rank malefic for this chart...they came together briefly and Gk was adding fuel to fire.....but the Ra-Ra period ended in feb 2011....and in May 2011 Rahu moved out if the first house.....so shani and Gk association with Ra was broken....and severity of damage was avoided.

--now (june 2011) onwards for 18 months Ra is transitting through the 12th house of hospitalizations over the opposing node (ke).....caused the surgery.
Transits of nodes over opposing nodes( on the 6-12 axis in his case) can bring catostrophic results.....and in this case in 12th house of hospitalizations and 6th house of diseases......but presence of Jup in the 12th house and running Jup antara brought the native out safely......because jup is strong in the house of Mars, and an amsabala if 4 in dasavarga charts.

i think the worst is over......although followup hospital trips might continue......until jan 2013 when Rahu will leave the 12th house.

--9 years later he will face a nodal return in transit......where he might see sime hospitalization.....but not such severity.....because ketu's transit over Gulika is not so malefic, nodal returns bring more emotional trauma than physical.... and antara will be of a natural benefic venus placed in a trinal house, the 9th...a big mitigators.

--18 years later nodes will cross opposing nodes but the dasa will not be Ra-Ra....but Jup-jup....so he might face hospital visits, but never again do i see the same severity like now.

--He must do Rahu poojan immediately, an regularly, chanting Ra mantra, and fasting on Sat whenever health starts permitting.

Thanks shilpa for the detailed analysis. He had gone to trimbakeshwar and got a small puja done just one month after his surgery ( around august 2011), there while having a dip in the holy tank he felt some changes.

Another big puja was done at his native for shivji - even on that day he felt positive vibes.

I hope things change for the better henceforth. What is the Ra mantra that he should chant? Also is rahu dasha always that bad ? Can you check the chart of this person too ? He is also going through Rahu maha dasha and has tensions.

Rahu dasas are NOT always bad.
For this guy also...rahu is not entirely...bad but he hit the Ra-Ra period plus the transit of Rahu over first Gk and then Ke in tthe 12th house...that multiplied many times over the maleficity.

Rahu mantra, Poojan, Yantra and remdies can be googled.

As an update on my relative. He had his second surgery in the first week of dec 2012. The doctor managed to excavate the tumor completely. He has gone through some six cycles of chemotherapy and is going for six monthly scans at the end of this month...we hope things turn out to be positive for him.
