2012 World Predictions

I would like to hear some predictions for 2012 from the astrologers on this board. For example the US economy, world economy, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, the US presidency, etc. I think it would be great to hear what the predictions are and the thinking process behind it.

Are you stating that we are starting through a dark period we will never get out of?

There is a fear that doomsday is nearing in December'12 but as per Hindu astrology, this will not happen except for some major disasters and there is a prediction of some major war next year.
