9th and 10th Lords-critical to success& wealth from Career

Dear Shulpa and other members,

1) How to identify up to what level a person rises quantitatively?
For example. There are four charts all are running say exalted planet connected to income. Hence,
it may be the period of profit.

A: a middle income person gets few lakhs of say arrears in salary
B: an industry;a;ist gets profit of say few crores
C: a millionaire gets thousand crores raise in income.
D: A low income person suddenly gets a chrore in say KBC like thing.

Now, astrologically, is it possible to identify who is A or who is B or C or D by doing some quantitative analysis?

2) I think the answer to the above may be yes…

In classics, the strength of planets is mentioned in numbers like Rupas…
Thus, the result is proportional to strength of significators… Like, for longevity, some analysis give number of years. In principle, same method may give some quantiative info about an event..

Suppose the topic is to identify how much income one earns? There are say 6 significators with strength S1, S2,…..,S6.

Hence total income at a given time T can be I(T)= k(S1 + S2+ S3+……+S6) = k*S

The constant k can be obtained by studying the income of known people right from low-income to multi-millioniers…

Draw a graph of I(T) vs to total strength S… if it follows a regular curve like line or exponential, k can be found…

Only thing is, here k also involves many Rajayogas (wealth yogas) which is the thing that differentiates middle class and rich persons…

Finally, if the above is correct. The same quantitative analysis can give a number say n/100 representing probability of occurring an event for which significations and mutual conditions (for the event to occur) are known…

But is there any such thing called quantiatve astrology?

it may be theoritically possible to work out answers throuhg mathematical equations.
Practically you will need to build a simulator with 100s of variables and have optimzation algorithms to even attempt to solve......like the types used in weather simualtor or aerospace industry.
and even that would require tuning or history match....which is far too compelx for human lives.

in practicality.......it is next to impossible....

the best & closest you can get is develop some emperical correlations that PVR Rao is trying to demosntrate for transit-triggers and Vimsottari Dasa.

If you dont mind...could you please address my other concerns...never ever imagined b4 that i would look upto astrology for solutions to my layman problems....

1. You said "You will rise slowly but will see some executive rise in career". Can you please elaborate what executive rise in career means.
managerial position equivalent

2. "Wealth won't be bad since moon is in exalted position"...but my moon is without a paksha bala and hence a malefic. Does it still give me the properties, luxuries, vehicles in my life.

once exalted, swakshetra ( own house) in Mooltrikona a planet is only benefic

3. I have been told by someone that Ketu in 10th house can make or break things in life. In this position it turns around the bad aspects of the birth chart when one looks or tends to spiritual side. I have always been god fearing and spiritual and have become more spiritual these days. I fast on Mondays in honor of lord Shiva. Please let me know your opinion about this.

Depnds on whether Ketu is good or bad in your chart. Ketu is in sun's Nakshtra and sun is friendly in your chart in the house of Me and conjunct with friendly Me.
So Ket in 10th will act like a milder version of sun, promoting your rise to a mangerial position in career in due course and time.
that said Ketu does always have some negative affects always, but those will not be severe enough to worry about too much.



4. I have always be an ambitious person believing that this LIFE is meant to achieve something significant and worthful.Right now i am in US....but for the past 2 years i been shuttling between US and India somehow hoping that things would work out for good in India but it never did....so back to US( though on a work visa). During this time i have become directionless and so low on confidence. I am into Software engineer field though not happy with it. I ask you with due respect from an astrological POV in your opinion which direction or career path should i pursue to have a satisfactory career/life or do you think being in IT is still a good choice. Would i settle down in US or in India.

IT software engineering with a mathematical / statistics, computing are all suited to you, and with patience and time, you will rise in your field.
shani is the one that you should pray to, on saturdays, be pious, fast is you can. your progress and rise will come slowly.
your 9th and 12th Lord is the same i.e Jup, conjucnt with thee 10th Lord shani in the 6th house of services...implies a very strong possibility of continuing to be overseas in job.



5. I have Chandra Magala Yoga in 2nd house . Does this mean I will earn good in business. I have always wanted to take up business but could now.... but i give some good advice to my friends regarding business. Do you see i could get into business sometime later. If so which field could be the good ones

I already explained above, your chart is more prone to serving as an employee.

Finally

6. Regarding marriage, is a love marriage or an arranged marriage on the cards. Where will i be meeting my soulmate.

I have already indicated the window for marriage in my previous response. 7th Lord is afflicted/ innimical in both Rasi & Navamsa.....causing delays now and will require discipline and hard work after marriage also to make it work, but Jup's drishti on 7th house will ensure sustenance.
that 7th lord is shani in navamsa and is Ve conjunt with Ra in rasi indicates a woman mature and old ( maybe same age as you) from a diffrent caste/ community i.e love marriage.

My career started in (Mercury MD, Mars AD, Raghu PD), Mercury combustion in Cancer(moon).
My job offers/Joining period involves only two other planets in AD or PD raghu & jupiter along with Mercury

I was forced to change job (left) during Mars/Saturn, Saturn/Venus in Mercury MD. Whether it has any relationship with Saturn/lagna in Capricorn navamsa (Saturn in own house)

And my overseas assignments or job are during
mer,raghu,venus(MD/AD/PD)
mercury,jup,mercury

As you said earlier Ketu-sun(mid 2012) period should be good, do you see any prospects of securing a job before kethu-sun
If you can share some thoughts on it will be useful

--the only Sun AD that you have experienced was at your age of 18.....you probably didn;t have a career then

the PD is not the same in terms of impact as MD or AD have a independent time divisions.

the PD is largely subservient to it's respective AD.

--Sun is strong in your chart.....and will take you high....it is already acting...but for it to switch gears the right trigger has to come which I believe will be Ke-Sun.

--Sun is the bright spot in your chart which has limitations otherwise. Jup is also friendly and strong in your dasavarga.

....Moon the 9th lord is debilitated in 1st house weakening the first house and making it a rather weak bhagyasthan, that Rahu acting malefic takes over.

....MaRS the Asc, Lord and lord of house of service (6th) is in an enemy sign and in the 12th house.

...Me is not combust ( it is not in the same house )

--9th and 10th lords( Ma and Ve) are conjunct in the 9th house, to form the DKAY...however both are combust...that weakens the 10th and more so the 9th house...as 5th Lord Me is also combust in the 9th house.

--So the DKAY is formed is good
that the lords are combust is bad
though the 10th and 9th Lords are quite good is Dasavarga chart.....good again.

so overall mixed.....and suuccess/ rise after efforts, hard work, struggle...not an easy ride.

--10th lord is Moon in friendly/ neutral Jupiter's house.
--Jup and Moon are in mutual kendra and mutual aspect and hence a DKAY is formed.
The participating planets are OK in amsabala in dasavarga charts. Some hurdles,because of slightly innimical placement of Jup.... but rise and rise assured
--You have a strong chart with 10th Lord Mars in 10th and with an amazing strength in dasavarga charts....and the DKAY is an icing on cake.

--Watch out for greater things as Saturn transits to Libra around Mid Nov 2011.

-- Sa-Ma in mutual aspect and mutual kendra and are kendra-kona lords and Ma is a YK also.
I believe you have a potential and possibility to have a political career also.

I have a question about my Mars and Saturn. As you know I have Mars in Aries in 10 (Ruchaka Yoga) and Saturn in Libra in 4 (Sasa Yoga). These are kendra/kona lords and YK as stated. However, I read somewhere that Saturn aspecting Ruchaka yoga is a yoga bhanga, and Mars aspecting Sasa yoga is also a yoga bhanga. So what do I have- 2 Mahapurusha yogas or 2 defunct yogas? Or an intermediate situation?

RE the Saturn to Libra transit I will definitely keep an eye open-can you expand on its effects a bit? It will be my second Saturn return. I am also a little worried about my mother's health, as she will be 80 soon-is generally in very good health, sharp as a tack, very active, but had an episode of Bell's Palsy the other day. It seems to be getting better, but as I live a long way from the family it is challenging staying in touch and I do worry.

My bad...the DKAY is not foremed in your chart.....in any of it's 3 variants

I don't think that the saturn in 4th and Mars in 10th are cancelling each other.

The greater power of Yogas involving Sa and Mars in mutual kendra and mutual aspect though comes from the houses involved in Yogas....Mars rules 5th and 10th ( kona and Kendra) and Saturn Lords 7th ( kendra)...so they are forming rajyogas

Details: workwise the last year has been difficult-our VP resigned in April-institute is looking for a new VP. Last VP did not really "get" my office-I'm hoping the new VP will do better-that is one issue-the lack of effective leadership in my organization, specifically supporting my staff-we do an important job well. Currently lots of minor hurdles and annoyances that affect productivity-it would be good to have a few months of smoother functioning. I am a fundraiser-I think this year will actually be very good as regards raising money, but would appreciate a period with less confusion and unnecessary change-my staff is tired of it. Ideally I would like to see a VP with a strong science background, as I have, and who understands how large universities are structured-the last one didnt. A couple of folks have suggested I apply for the VP job, but I honestly dont think I quite have the experience needed-yet.

in the next one year under the Ra-Ra period their is a chnace for you to go overseas....or atleast in far-way places within the country that are culturally very diffrent such as North east.
as Ra is the karak of living / workig in foreign cultures and is seated in Sun's Nakshatra...and sun is in own house in 12th.
Rahu is also seated in the 10th house of your dasamsa.

Your prosperity will be in foreign or atleast far-off places and things should change a lot in the next one year.

2 and 9th lords is in own house

4th and 7th lord exalted

12th lord in own house

the chart is not bad......the good yogas have to kick in for the full power of the chart to support you.

do Rahu poojan and jaap regularly for the next year atleast.
