I am born under pushya nakshtra.. since child hood i known that lord RAM is born under the same nakshtra .throughout my life ,till now,i felt that i am God's favourite child.i am the lucky one.but yesterday i stumbled upon a site.GANESHASPEAKS. It is stating that people born under this nakshtra are less fortunate,spend their life in pursuing hedonistic plasures,put their half heaarted efforts in the job they do....and what not. since yersterday i am in such mental agony and conflict.
please throw some light on this.

According to what I know, in the south, we believe there are 4 mahanakshatras and Mrigashira is one of them.
Pushya, Makha , Anuradha and Mrigashira.
The importance of them is in matching horoscopes. They say that if there are some blemishes in matching, they are not counted since the nakshatras are mahanakshatras.
Practically, I think this is since the characteristics of the corr. natives make them noble and flexible which are good traits in a marriage.

I dont think it is so, my relative has makara lagna and makara rasi, saturn being the lord. Further, sun is in the 11th house and aspects the lagna, still he is very fair and I feel it is because of moon being in lagna which has the greatest influence in predicting the complextion.
Similarly I have another relative, with simha lagna having saturn, who is aspecting sun moon and ketu in the third, she is very fair.

My lagna is Makara, with no planets in lagna and Shani in 10th, I have a very fair complexion, and very light eyes and hair. Moon is in Pisces. So I don't think as a general rule the lagna lord matters, what matters even more is which planets aspect the first bhava.

i think more than complexion those with kumbha or makara lagna or shani is lagna look older than their age. i have makara rashi and kumbha lagna and used to look much older in school and college, but as age passes (now 37 almost) i have started looking more my age.

I feel, people with Capricorn, Aquarius Asc or Saturn in Asc or Saturn in conjuction with moon makes a person mature for his/her age, cant say about looks though.

Lots of people born in these maha nakshatras but everyone is not living a trouble free or wonderful or successful life, it also depends on rest placements, and also the person's will to do something in life.

I am Capricorn asc but I look much young than my age ...I have two kids but people don't believe. ...that I had two kids.. one is 7 years and other is 4 years old..so I don't think asc doesn't make look old in looks wise....

Venus in ascendant probably helps, Venus nurtures your body if it were in ascendant as it has been called sanjeevani and it'll nurture qualities of house whichever it sits in, I think even Mercury moon might have impact on your ascendant.

Purushottama Rama was born under Punarvasu nakshatram 4th padam, not in Pushyami nakshatram.
