Hey all,
Below is the chart of a young student, he has borderline grades and his school's commission might decide to have him fail and repeat his year, but he could also pass. His chances are 3/4 'fail' and 1/4 'pass' if looking at it from a statistical view. But IMO by looking at his chart I am pretty sure that he will pass, the decision will be taken between the 28th and the 30th of this month.
I would really like other members' opinion on this.

Hey,
I am not really looking for a reading but rather trying to confirm if my reasoning is sound.
He is Thula lagna, with Moon and Rahu in first house, so going through Sade Sati. His YK Shani is in the 5th house but has an aspect from Mangal L2/L7.
He is currently in Saturn MD, Shani is YK and placed in 5th in Multrikona, so my reasoning is that he cannot possibly fail in his studies, am I being too narrow minded in that? I mean he is in his Shani MD, Venus AD, Venus is placed in 2nd house so 4/10 relation.
Would really appreciate people's input,

For the heck of it, let me play devils advocate . I will argue against your logic . You say Shani is the YK. I agree .But he is in the Nakshatra of the 6th lord Guru . The lord of Bhagya, ie Budha is combust and sitting in a enemy Sign. Lagna Nakshatra lord is totally combust and in a planetary war. Sade Sati is on .
In matters like this, the Navamsha becomes of utmost importance . The handicap is that the lagna is at the edge and could shift to dhanu just 3 seconds later . So its impossible to make a accurate prediction. Let us stick to the D1 and base our arguments on the D1 chart alone .

So just to be clear, you think it is likely that he will fail?
The dasa will be Saturn/Venus/Moon/Mars. Lagna Nakshatra is Chitra, i.e. the lord is Mangal who is in his own sign, how is he combust? I admit that he is in a planetary war with lagna lord, but I still think that he should not fail... Will let you know what happens.
