Karakas : With/Without Rahu?!

With it my Amk is Rahu...
Without it, its Mars...

SO what should i choose?

Btw, I understand KN Rao said remove Rahu and ketu, but J Hora takes Rahu into account. SO ?

Hi Jupiterlight,

JHora by default shows 8 chara karaka scheme, you can change the scheme to 7 chara karaka. Go to Preferences menu--->Then Related to Calculations--->Chara karaka scheme. You can change it to 7 and then you will get the desired result.


There is infact option for K.N.Rao system.

Ur welcome, I am just good in operating softwares. I don't have enough knowledge in astro so, don't know what are other things which are different in K.N. Rao system and Jhora, but if anyone tell me this thing is different, I will try to fiddle with the software to find it out.

KN rao says that Parasara 7 or 8 karaka scheme is decided when 2 planets are of the same degree.

In my case Jupiter is 10 degrees cancer, saturn is 10 degrees capricorn so then?

Sorry, Everything u said was an overhead transmission for me....but i found a good article by P.V. Narsimha Rao, may be it can help you. At the end it concludes which one to use and where.

JHora 7.33 supports this system of taking 7 or 8 chara karakas based on the
horoscope. In JHora 7.33, select "Preferences", "Related to calculations" and
"Chara karaka scheme (7 or ". In the selection combobox, select the 4th option
"Mixed 7/8 chara karakas of Parasara". It then takes 7 chara karakas in some
charts and 8 in others, based on Parasara's criteria.

if the degree is same , then minute is used to differentiate between kaarakas , if even minutes are same for two planets then seconds is used to differentiate ..... in this manner their is no need for the 8th kaaraka ... thus is the Way of K.N.Rao

Pt Sanjay Rath Ji says that if RAHU becomes the Aatma - Kaaraka then the person is either totally evil or absolutely saint

well , the aatmakaraka means the flavor of the soul of that individual , now since every souls ultimate desire is to merge with the super-consciousness {GOD} thus giving its ownership to a demon is farfetched. besides if we used the mathematical model precisely , then their is no need fro rahu

every planet is given a range in the spectrum of light , rahu and ketu are beyond the visible range unlike other planets

K.N.Rao ji calculate ARUDHAs without exception , u can do it in JHORA like this ......

starting a career and maintaining it and advancing in it are two diff things ... see i said "in career" not "for career"

the reason being Moon dosent have light of its own , well actually none of the planets other then sun .... but moon specially need guidance and support because of the emotional nature .... its not like you will be acting as a blind and need someone to hold your hand and show u the way .... rather all you will need is to know that someone is their to hold you in case , god forbid , you fall . specifically with the combination of venus as AK ... this would become a necessity, venus although a materialistic planet is also a tender one and like moon needs constant nurturing ...... with two subtle planets venus and moon , finding such an imp place in yr personal cabinet as AK and Amk .... heart to heart connect with someone becomes a necessity in life to feel really cherished and accomplished in life .... slowly but certainly everything else will become secondary
