I request you to kindly look into my chart. The concentrated efforts at home towards my marriage have not been successful for the last 10 years.Inspite of the obstacles and emotional upheavels in the marriage process, with god's grace and blessings i am able to keep the hopes alive. Have been lighting Ellu Vilakku ( Thil lamp ) for lord saturn and Naga pooja everyday. I chant Aditya Hrudhayam, Vishnu Sahasranama and Lakshmi-Narasimha Karavalamba Stotra regularly. The way i connect to god probably gives me a lease of renewed enerygy and resilience to deal with the roller coaster ride.
I was told by other learned members here few months back that the current Venus(7th lord) bhukti /Rahu pratyanthara dasa is a good time for the efforts to culminate into marriage. Although proposals are coming up, things don't seem to proceed beyond a certain point or it just slips away.
with my minimal understanding of astrology, i was told that Ketu in 7th house and saturn in 8th house in my chart is causing delay. How are the marriage prospects now to overcome the delaying/malefic forces? Here is my birth detail

Pls stop all the stotras and poojas you are doing now for a period of 48 days starting this Ekadasi falling on coming Thursday (April 28th) and just chant Subramanya Ashtakam daily twice.The transit Jupiter transitting your 5th house in May shall give good results.

This particular relationship will see some rough weather when Saturn transits your 8th house.It might at the most last till Mercury AD ending sept 2016. In Venus-Ketu, this relationship will fizzle out.

I am getting aries as the 8th house in himanshut' s D1. I suppose Saturn is transiting to Libra in dec. Just not getting - how it will enter into her 8th house? Pls correct me if I am wrong.

For the co-ordinates of dhanbad I am getting the AD of Saturn till 2013. Your problem might have started in Jupiter AD itself where the kendradipathiya dosha Jupiter is debilitated and retrograde.
I dont see saturn giving great results in the second half. That is after may Jupiter as lord of moon sign and 10th is transiting the 2nd, the house of wealth and aspects the 10th to moon which can give relief in terms of Career and finance.

Does ashtami shan bring abt suffering even if saturn is a func benefic and well placed in the chart ..The reason y i am asking this question is I am a Capricorn Asc and un afflicted Saturn is LL/L2 placed in the trinal 9th house of virgo..My natal Moon is in pisces and i will also be under ashtam shani

normally ashtama sani gives a lot oftrouble intensifying the un finished karma for the native so that he pushes himself harder.in reality he is actually forced to do this,in himanshus chart it is not only ashtama sani but also saturn return, jupiter in lagna and ketu in the fourth,
the powerful placement of saturn definitely does reduce the intensity in transits, but it does not guarentee the same.their could be relief during the periods when there is a vedha to saturn.
the general strength of the chart along with the dasa periods matters a lot in reading transits.

I dont understand your question. Your sun and venus in Rasi are 3/11 to each other. That is correct. Then where is the question of combustion. I feel though there will be rough weather in marriage at times still you can go ahead and you can make that marriage work.

Having said this your 7th lord mercury is combust and you are running his period. the next sub-period starting july 2011 is of Ketu and you can avoid that period. The next sub period is Venus and it starts by mid 2012. Though Venus and mercury are 3/11 to each other, Venus is the 6th and 11th lord. so difference of opinion with the spouse and some compromises cannot be ruled out.
If you believe in prayers, pray daily to Lord Muruga and on tuesdays pray with 6 diyas lit so that the jyothis face each other.
