Hi All,
When a child is born, what is the correct time of birth?
Just When the child is fully delivered or after the umbilical chord between the child and mother is cut? Since there can be several minutes difference between the two.

Hi,

The period is termed.. 'bhumista'...when the body touches the earth/ground.... which is when the first breath/sry occurs.
