Every planet has auspicious or inauspicious placement depending upon ascendent(or moon or sun whichever is powerful).
It is not proper to say that any particular house or planet is benefic or malefic for the entire life,just like in real life no particular person is always good or bad .

Very well said! I do always face problems & arguments with my boss (an indication of Sun being malefic) & yes, I'm accident prone too, not major ones, thank God for that but few cuts & bruises most of the time for being clumsy.

Thanks to both of u for the enlightenment. Is there any remedies to do? I was told to observe vegetarian fast on Sundays & light ghee lamps for the Sun navagraha at temple. But my question is, if the planets are malefic at our time of birth, would i see any difference (for the better) if i were to perform remedies?

Would appreciate if both Masters could throw some light on this. TQ.

we are born under a particular config of planets and stars to suit the bill of your past karma . If a planet is malefic in your chart , there is a good reason why this is so . Having said that , God has not left us to carry the cross of the past , Instead he has giving us various remedies to calm the planets down . Therefore if the planets are malefic at our time of birth, you would see the difference (for the better) if you were to perform appropriate remedies.

I thought we have to judge planets from Lagna or moon only.....Do we have to check from sun too(Whichever is pewerful)
Also, I am not able to find out between lagna and Moon in my chart which is more powerful.....My lagna is Cancer a nd Mars is debilitated in lagna.......But Full moon is in eighth house in aquarius......someone [please guide me...

You may analyze your chart yourself by comparing the planetary effects and past and present dasa bhukti with each of the three.

for this lagna is empty but moon is in 7th house and sun is in 5th house with mercury.

11th house is the house of gains and desires ..though mars is considered malefic , planets in the 11th house usually do well over time as it is considered an upchaya .If mars is well placed in ur chart and unafflicted u will have good gains in ur life..It also owns the 4th house- a kenda and a house of home comforts..
Since u r Cap Asc, you do not have a planet that suffers from a kendr-adipati dosha

I get it, Mars 4 11 is considered malefic for that specific chart then, not all Capricorn ascendent. My Mars is badly placed (12th) with Ketu, however, it's the lord of 4 planets (4 planets placed in it's house) so I have been told that it should be considered a benefic, am I right in saying that? Also it is said that Badhakesh placed in 12th is good.
