This may be a strange question to ask on this kind of forum but being that I'm only 18 years old, I have become very very religious. I see my friends drinking, smoking,
having illicit sex etc but I seem to have given up the world at such a young age. It's almost to the point that I don't care about wealth and am committed to give selfless service
to others with no return needed.
Is there something in my horoscope that shows this?????

Check out some yoga's on the "I want to break free thread" . On the face of it , The 9th and the 12th house in the 5th along with the aspect of the Lagna lord on the 5th has done the trick . A simple, strong and powerful yoga . Check this yoga out ,
Brahma Yoga
Jupiter is in a Kendra from the 9th house lords and Venus is in a Kendra from the 11th house lords, while Mercury is in a Kendra from Lagna-lord or the 10th house lords (original source unknown).
The person will be spiritual, command respect of other and learned individuals, will be well educated, virtuous and charitable, and enjoy a long life.

I read your book "Your stars and married life" . I must compliment you on a brilliant effort to put together such a extensive collection of horoscopes and matter . I have gone through chapter 15 in close detail . You do make a valid point when you say that
1. there is No consideration of the strength or weakness of the Ascendent
2.Among the 7 planets leaving Rahu and Ketu Moon is considered weak during Dark fortnights But no consideration is given to the strength of the moon
3. No consideration of strength of other planets and their influence on the ascendent, the ascendent lord and the 7th house or even the influence of these planets on the moon itsself .
4. No scope for use of Yogas
5. Dashas are not given due consideration
6. No consideration for transits during Chart Matching
But,
I have clearly stated in my "Why compatibility matching is important even when you are in love" thread that,
1.A horoscope should be matched from the Ascendent and the Moon .
2. 2nd.4th,7th,8th and the 12th houses of both charts should be examined throughly ( This its self is a kind of matching charts. The fact that both the horoscopes are compared and analysed together is "Compatibility Matching )
3. Yogas will be given a fair assessment once you examine the above mentioned houses
4. All my reports on compatibility have a dasha sandhi check
5. Papasamya which is not a common factor for compatibility is used compulsarily by me
6. synastry solves most of the problems that occur in bad placement of planets
In short,
You have raised a very valid point that just considering Guna Milan system for horoscope matching is inadequate , and I agree whole heartly with you . This is why I created a thread to make people understand that though Guna Milan / Pourthams are the main components of Compatibility , they are not the final authority to decide on whether to go ahead with the match or not . I feel that the Kerala system (Pourthams ) is a more stable platform under which we can work with. Combine that with Papasamya, Dasha Sandhi check, Kuja Dosha check, and finally Synastry check , and ultimately a strict examination of the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, and the 12th houses ,
we now have a sure fire way to show us if a marriage will blosom or is doomed to fail .
Once again, I want to say that your book is a job well done .

My Birth Details are 16-12-1983, 13:30, Pune. I too am spiritually inclined and dont drink nor eat meat and also chant everyday -Krsna's mercy and try and follow all rules as much as possible and no exageration but by Krsna's mercy, I do know upto certain extent the Gita and Shlokas and many a time when I chant I end up in tears or have hairs standing on end or feel sudden blow or movement of air which is stated as a good omen. So what doing the trick in my chart?
