All learned astrologers,
Namaste and happy new year. Could you please spare a few minutes of your valuable time.
We are married for 7 years but don't yet have a child. My wife had one miscarriage in Dec 2009 (conceived in Oct 2009). Could you please check our charts and advise if there is scope of child birth and the year/month when it is likely. My knowledge on astrlogy is very basic so could you also please explain the cause for delay. Is it because Venus (lord of 5th) is conjunct with Ketu in 9th? My wife is going through Venus/Venus dasa now so is it likely that she will conceive during this period? We have been consulting doctor for the last one year and he has suggestd some treatment this month so we are hoping for the best.
Is there anything in my horoscope that is a problem?
My DOB: 28/06/1975

Wife's DOB: 06/04/1979
11:45 AM
Hyderabad, India
Thanks.

Hi akm ji,
I looked at the girl's chart. You will have a male child before the end of 2012 - only one child.
Other features in the chart are - she is wealthy - has very good academic qualifications - probably working as a teacher with decent salry in a govt. institution or govt. R&D.
regards

Hi
There is a dictum which states that if Saturn, Venus and Mercury as in trines in d-7 then the native would not have child irrespective of all the factors available. This is an over-ridding rule.
As Map has said placement of Sun in the 5th house of d-7 gives a single male child but when we see the d-7 lagna we find that Mercury is in trines . hence conception would not be possible.
Hope this is fine

Thanks Map ji for your analysis.
VedicAstro ji, marriage date is 15/10/2003. Please analyse.
Aliens ji, you said "As Map has said placement of Sun in the 5th house of d-7 gives a single male child but when we see the d-7 lagna we find that Mercury is in trines ". I don't understand what you mean. In D7 chart, Mercury is in 12th house from lagna in its own house. Saturn is in 2nd and Venus in 8th. Can you please explain?
Thanks,
Akm

Hi
If that is the case then also if we see the Arudha pada of the 3rd house (A3) in the d-1 chart is placed in the 8th from the sun. This is also gives denial of children. Remedies have to be performed in order to have children.
Let the native start reciting the bala Gopala Mantra to beget children

Hi Aliens ji,
Just would like to point a small but important correction. You said "If that is the case then also if we see the Arudha pada of the 3rd house (A3) in the d-1 chart is placed in the 8th from the sun. This is also gives denial of children. Remedies have to be performed in order to have children."
I don't think it is correct to look at the position of A3 or A9 from the Sun. It should be the other way round i.e. check if Sun is placed in 2,6,8 or 12 from the arudha padas. Saying that it appears that Sun will be in the 6th house from A3 and in 5th house from A9. So A3 IS damaged. A9 is NOT damaged. This is arudha padas of 3rd and 9th from lagna in D1.
Now looking at arudha padas of 3rd and 9th house from Sun, which are AS3 and AS9, the Sun is placed in 5th and 9th house respectively (and not in 2,6,8 or 12). So they are NOT damaged.
The method of Deha given by Maharishi Jaimini in Upadesha Sutra is infallible in predicting the fertility or procreative ability of the native. Pt. Rath explains this in the following words-
“This method is based on the Rasi chart. Determine the arudha padas of the third and ninth house from the Lagna and the Sun. The arudha padas of the 3rd and 9th from the Sun (AS3 and AS9) constitute the ability to sustain the Atma (soul- signified by Sun) in the form of Sperm (i.e., the sperms should have life in them). The arudha padas of the third and ninth from the Lagna (A3 and A9) constitute the physical ability to procreate. If the Sun is in the 2nd, 6th, 8th or 12th houses from any of these padas, the same can be damaged resulting to infertility. Similarly, if Venus and Mercury conjoin these padas, they produce infertility. If either of these two padas is not damaged, childbirth is delayed and not denied. If the padas from Lagna are afflicted as above, medical attention is required and the astrologer should not attempt remedial measures unnecessarily.
However, if the affliction is from the padas from Sun, then astrological remedial measures are necessary.â€
The important bit to note is "If either of these two padas is not damaged, childbirth is delayed and not denied". So taking the native's example, only A3 is damaged. Both AS3 & AS9 which constitute the ability to sustain the Atma/Soul are NOT damaged. Also A9 is not damaged but since A3 is damaged it will cause delays which the native is already experiencing.
Any thoughts on the above? Is my calculation of Arudha padas of 3rd and 9th house from Lagna and Sun correct? Should the male chart also be assessed for Arudhas?
Can others also comment please.
Thanks
Akm
