Jyotirlinga calculation through Tithi

I am posting the concept of ascertaining Jyotirlinga through Tithi. If any body has to say about it please welcome.

Picking up the mantra for most auspiscious Jyotirlinga:

Steps: 1) find out the rasis in the Kendra from the moon.
2) find out the rasis in the trikona from the arudha lagna.
3) find out the common rasi in both the above groups.
4)the jyotirlinga denoted by that rasi will be your jyotirlinga.

For eg if moon is in virgo then Kendra from virgo have Gemini, sagitarius and pisces. Now if arudha lagna is in libra then trine to libra have aquarius and gemeni. So the common sign being gemeni …the jyotirlinga becomes “ nageshwar”

The jyotirlinga assigned to various rasis are:

Aries (exaltation of sun) rameshwaram
“ om namah shivaya namah rameshwaraya”

Taurus: (exaltation of moon) : somnath
“om namah shivaya namah somnathaya”

Gemeni: (exaltation of rahu) : nageshwar
“om namah shivaya namah nageshwaraya”

Cancer: (exaltation of jupiter) : omkareshwar
“om namah shivaya namah omkareshwaraya”

Leo: ( ) : vaidynath
“om namah shivaya namah vaidyanathaya”

Virgo: (exaltation of mercury) : mallikarjun
“om namah shivaya namah mallikarjunaya”

Libra: (exaltation of Saturn ) : mahakaleshwar
“om namah shivaya namah mahakaleshwaraya”

Scorpio: ( ) : ghashanesha
“om namah shivaya namah ghrashaneshwaraya”

Sagitarius: (exaltation of ketu) : vishwanath
“om namah shivaya namah vishwanathaya”

Capricorn: (exaltation of mars) : bhimshankara
“om namah shivaya namah bhimshankaraya”

Aquarius: ( ) : kedarnath
“om namah shivaya namah kedarnathaya”

Pisces: (exaltation of Venus) : tryambakeshwar
“om namah shivaya namah tryambakeshwaraya”

Worshiping the specific jyotirlinga for oneself brings success in life, gaining of objectives, removal of sins of past births , remembrances of past lives , ability to see god and more.
For remedy of problems due to specific planets the jyotirlinga sitting in the sign of exaltation of that planet can be recommended if it is otherwise found needful in the chart. For eg for remedy of problems due to rahu nageshwara jyotirlingam can be advised or worshipped.

So the Tithi is made of twelve degrees. It shows that each degree is assigned to one of the signs of the Zodiac. In consequences of this, the first degree of the Tithi is Aries, the second degree is Taurus, the third degree is Gemini, and so on. Then the Moon is examined to see which sign within the tithi it is placed. Some computer programs give percentages of the Tithi passed at the time of birth. This chart helps one find the sign easily, by seeing the percent of the Tithi passed through at the time of birth.

A classic post. Hats off to you.

Worshiping the specific jyotirlinga for oneself brings success in life, gaining of objectives, removal of sins of past births , remembrances of past lives , ability to see god and more.

Regarding the above 2 lines - taking moon is correct as it signifies the thithi but instead of aruda lagna the 12th to the atmakaraka in vimsamsa will be better because

1) Atmakaraka signifies the manifestation of the most powerful tendency of an individual

2) The same tendency being an impediment to one's spiritual process

That is the reason people propitiate the deity in the 12th to atmakaraka to finish off karmic debts which may give them remembrance of past lives and also vision of god which is being obstructed by the atmakaraka.

Can you please tell me why you used arudha lagna, is it for success in general. Pls. clarify.

Otherwise everything is spot on.

Dear Mr Ramanan

12th house from AK becomes Karaka amsa and praying to the deity which connects to Karaka amsa would help the native fulfill its desire. But her why I am specifying Jyotirlinga is when we pray the specific jyotirlinga mantra we are relieved of our sins and all helps us in all round success

Basically arudha lagna is nothing but material benefits hence I feel AL is taken up also along with Moon

Dear aliens,

I agree with you regarding the arudha lagna for normal material life.

Since u had mentioned remembering past births and seeing God in vision, I suggested the karakamsa. Bcos all these things are not normal material things and moreover I am not suggesting to pray to that planet.But, to the jyotirlinga signified by the planet.

If my understanding of your post is correct, Jyotirlinga derived from Janma Rashi+AL should be same as that from
Janma thithi's progress at birth. In my case the Janma Rashi and AL are in 2/12 and hence the quadrants from the first
and trines from second will not meet.

Even otherwise, the two being independent I feel they will not give the same result always. Pls correct me if my
understanding is incorrect.

Dear Uma Ji,

I calculated the way you told but i am not getting any common rashi...

From my moon my kendra rashi s are virgo,Sagitarius,Pisces.My moon is in my lagna.
From my AL Trikona rashi s are capricorn and Taurus.

My Birth Details
DOB:27/9/1986
TOB: 00:38 am
POB: Ahmedabad,Gujarat

Please correct me if i have done any mistake in my calculations.

and AL fallen in MITHUNA,then 1,5,9 are MITHUNA,TULA and KUMBHA RASHIS,so common is TULA RASHI
CORRECT?
and if it is happen two rashis common for our condition then which we have to take in to consideration?

The Kendras from Moon are:Cancer,Libra,Capricon and Aries
The Trikona from AL are:Saggitarius,Aries,Leo

So the common rasi is Aries with which you can get your Jyotirlinga mantra:

When you are taking the Kendra from Moon please even include Moon as it 1st kendra would start from Moon and then we have to take the remaining Kendras into account

The go to AL and take trines from there do the same likewise. The rasi which is common should be your Mantra for Jyotirlinga

Scorpio: ( ) : ghashanesha
“om namah shivaya namah ghrashaneshwaraya”

Is it ghasha or ghrasha?
How is this worship to be done and when?
Also is he another form of Shiva?

Also based on Karakamsa, my kuldev comes out as Vishnu?
So who is to be worshipped mainly based on the above?

The jyotirlinga in your case is "Ghusmesha". The mantra is:

OM NAMAH SHIVAYA NAMAH GHUSMESHAYA
