Dear Rajitha ji!
I acknowledge the wonderful contributions of respected members like Shrikanth, Anupam, Ramanan, Astrosonu, Khoo Hock Leong, Basab, Krishna, You and many others. I respect and admire you all for your knowledge.
However, you have omitted (hope not willfully) the one man who has been singularly brilliant and has carried the forum on his shoulders for the past eight months by answering the most queries - Astroboy. He has contributed around 2000 posts and has helped numerous people. He has put his blood, sweat and invaluable time in doing so. He has made himself a guinea pig and bared all personal details in the process. Agreed, he went overboard a few times but that can be attributed to the heat the of the moment and when someone has the weight of the knowledge he has, it can happen. Senior members like you could have intervened there and then and could have cooled the situation.
If such work goes unacknowledged it would be a shame. I commend you Astroboy for all you have done in this forum. I don't know if you would be writing here anymore but it doesn't matter. There are so many people who have benefited by your knowledge and they will remain grateful for that.

Salutations to u!! Just dont bother about anything hurled at u. People who have been watching closely ur work know the time and effort u have put in on this forum to help a lot of ppl. Ur quest for knowledge and the passion u attached to it is commendable.
Now u see, the whole world wants just decent lies and they call it decorum. Like, India and Pakistan have been having bilateral talks with each other for the past 50 years without even once getting into the crux of the issue ie., Kashmir.

We come here to learn astrology. We come here to share knowledge. I have been on this forum since Oct 2009. I started taking a keen interest in 2009 October.
I met astroboy in October this year. I met his Guru too. Both of them are obsessed with astrology and nothing else. I have seen his passion and his zeal for the subject. His friend’s complained that they do not see him now because of the forum.
Anybody who has seen astroboy’s chart will know that it’s easy to instigate him. He will sit quiet once but after that all hell breaks loose. Once he cool’s down its back to normal again. I called him up last evening and asked him why he decided to leave. His contention was that Shilpa clearly instigated him knowing fully well that she had no point in her argument. She jumped from Rahu / Ketu, to Combustion, to kalasarpa yoga without giving a single convincing answer to any of them. Then she started talking about Ramanan’s horoscope knowing full well that she was wrong. Once she knew she was cornered, she complained to the moderator’s and got away with her crime. His point is , If a person say’s that shukra is nonexistent in a horoscope if it is within 10 degrees is nothing short of blasphemy even after proof was given that she was wrong, she kept on instigating him to a point of ridicule . When cornered, she did the next best thing and ran to the mods. His point is that he spends so much of time researching subjects, while people with 1 year of astrology come and make rash stratements without bothering to substantiate their claims. His point is if you have ego you will never learn astrology . You must swallow your pride and accept what somebody is telling you, then see if the fact given is right or wrong and decide after that.
He was working on explaining compatibility as per the Tamil nadu and Kerala system when this happened. I am not here to support astroboy just because I had the opportunity to meet him. I am selfish that I want to learn astrology. In fact I know the kind of money he has spent on his books and soft ware. I personally sent him at least 25-30 books which he had ordered since October just so that he could garner information from it and post it here and reply to queries. He is determined not to come back and so that is that. I am not writing this because I want him back. I am writing this because in a short time, we lost 2 very good astrologers.
Astrosonu has contributed so much to this Forum. I don’t think anybody had a grasp of astrology and Spirituality like he had. I do not know what went wrong, but he is also determined not to come back at any cost. This is indeed a sad day for the forum. I cannot understand what can be done to rectify this. She posted her chart long back mentioning her screwed up marriage and later she pointed out in another thread how her husband was very happy with his chart readings from Astroboy. Somehow I feel she was smoldering grudges which finally fructified yesterday. I may be wrong here but its what I feel....since all her instigation was purely deliberate....as milred rightly explained above.

we all have learnt a lot here..but with passing time,the knowledgeable discussions have become heated up.and thus we now not only see posts on various astrology topics.. but more posts like this...""burning issues and burning minds.."""
Our learned members here have helped us enormously,its not just about a single person whose posts are plenty,but there have been other members too who have been very courteous in replying to the loads of PMs they get from people in distress..again some just ignore the PMs, while some have been very kind to help people out ..may be publicly or through PMs.
being an open forum,its difficult to track down members,but I strongly feel that the membership of this forum should be strictly moderated.what is the use of growing membership is it only makes this forum worse and makes people leave..?
Out of the total 46897 posts how many are meaningful and how many are just for free prediction??
From the Total 6666 topics how many do you feel like reading ..and how many can you even search on the forum easily..Initially it was only the reading section that was messy..now even the student section is filled with people who sign in for timepass..
Total members 2831...how many really add value..???
I am sad to say that this forum is not the same when I joined back in June 2010.
We have lost so many of them...including Siva,astrosonu,astroboy and today our Dear Ramananji..We will miss you..
Coming back depends on them..but we should try to make this a more knowledgeable and peaceful place..

This is a medium of expression and also sharing of ideas..but we should try to reduce such mediums for heated discussions..and increase the ones for cordial relations..

Expecting moderators to monitor each and every post is not justified. Members are expected to put in efforts to maintain dignity in this public forum.
That said, the loss of eminent astrologers like Astroboy,Ramanan and Astrosonu is huge. We need a combined effort to pull these guys back into the forum.Let members talk about ways to bring them back.

Dear Friends,
All of us know there are 5 enemies Kam Krodh Lobh Moh Ahankar.Out of these 5 as per my experience Ahankar (Ego) is worst.All unnecessary arguments on this forum happened because of ego.
I always say take astrology easy don’t be so serious. Take it as a fun because if a person wants to be astrologers he should have control on 5 enemies that is totally impossible in kalyug.
There are two types of astrologers one they have instinct for astrology naturally. And other they either heart broken or with unsuccessful carrier who are searching reasons ( excuses) in astrology and searching instant remedy to find some short cut.
Astrology can help if a person is having a real problem not to fulfill insatiable desires.
I agree, on this forum views can be exchanged but it is my request please avoid giving prophecies & impractical remedies.
We Indians have we know everything attitude.
Somebody said “Indians are best individually but worst collectively.†Because we start groupism, croniesm, nepotism & idolism.

I see only one solution....Do some meditation and try to know your real self better, so that when one knows, u will highly love others comments instead of conflicts. You will even take the blame upon you, but will never let others down...you will always see others around you are happy even if you feel pain. I find it is because of the enemies inside which always try to enforce themselves upon mindly plane to establish themselves and prove themselves which in turn lead to conflicts here instead of love, support, and care. I am not talking any philosophy, but something which everybody can contribute to if they better understand themselves.

Aseemji, this statement can find answer when you know your real aspect. Nothing can be mastered in this world. When the whole world in itself is a big big vast ocean, how can one even think of being a master? There is only one master who created this world residing in everybody as a soul. Even the Brahma does not know the beginning and end of this world...If you dig deep, you will keep on digging, but when u know yourself or the soul, you can understand the whole world and that is the answer for all issues. There are no conflicts, no issues, no confusions there, but only pure love my friends. You will jump in air and dance and give everything to others even if you are in streets, but wont even blame or fight with anybody.
This applies to astrology as well, the only one who is master of astrology is Lord Subramanya himself, nobody else. Even Lord Shiva cant tell accurately or perfectly as Lord Shiva himself has kept subramanya as authority of astrology. I would call it a divine science instead of mystical. If you are humble in his laps, with his grace, you can be a master, but only and only by his grace.

While beginers can have their own opinion (that is what such fora are meant for), experts can make mistakes too.

Very sorry to hear about senior astrologers leaving. We beginner astrologers just wanted to learn from all members irrespective of the differences between them. The difference of opinion should have triggered a healthy debate with us learning from it, not into such degeneration.

Hi People..
They rebuilt Facebook... with the latest security settings and privacy options..
Dont you think its high time for LOVA too.??
I am more inclined to this forum than FACEBOOK.
I want to request all to come up with ideas that we make our mods implement.
You discuss astrology,predict and analyse someones post or you report a serious matter.
Anyone and everyone will contribute to the threads....making it a mess.
One can keep cool.. but in the long run..you cant sustain it when people just go on and on abusing you.
We all try to control our words as much as possible and dont try to react by posting,and try hard not to be affected...But as we have seen it in the past few months..it is practically not possible.
Someone or the other will be targeted and there will be messy threads on one topic or the other.
Its high time that we should atleast react where it is needed...
I request all once again to talk and discuss more about improvising this site and get it implemented asap..
There are various threads put up in the Announcements sections.. Please contribute here as well.

Good suggestion, Anushree. I have been here on this discussion board for more than 4 years now, and from my experience, I have only one thing to say: this place is not how it used to be earlier. Honestly speaking, now I feel ashamed to be even a part of this discussion board when I used to be proud to be a member here once. I guess the old members here, like me, can understand the most how much the discussion board has degraded in the last few months because they have seen the good days of this place too. Anyway, there is no point writing anything further but I would like to say this that I feel sorry that Kali Yuga has not spared this place too.
